I am a very picky eater who stopped in at this taco place in Venita today as I was passing through town. I was very happy to find the best tostada I've had in at least 2 decades! The ingredients were super fresh, the shell was very crispy, thin and delicious! The original hot sauce was flavorful and just the right amount of picanté. The employees are super friendly and amazing. If not for them I would give 1 star. I hadn't eaten Taco Mayo in years and was excited because I remembered loving their nachos. Definitely not what I remember. The nacho cheese tasted really watered down. There was also hardly and meat or cheese and a lot of chips. Maybe they'll be better next time.
I accidentally overpaid for our meal. While we were eating, the gentleman discovered something was wrong. He counted down the register and brought us the change. Nice to know honest people still exist.
