Full disclosure, I haven’t eaten here in almost 14 years. But I think about this restaurant a lot. I was a college student living in Walters and going to school at MSU. I may very well have been one of the few other Asian people in town at the time. The family at Tongs was always so kind to me. Genuinely good people who deserves way more than they receive, and yet manage to do a whole lot with what they have. Kinda like the town of Walters itself.

The food tastes like they invited you into your home and grabbed you a plate. Nothing fancy, just good food served with real warmth — the kind of big chains try to imitate.

So good. We tried it for the first time after recommendations from my coworkers. They do charge the buffet by the weight so just be prepared for that. We paid $40 for two buffets, a small soup, and an order of crab Rangoon. It was plentiful. Out of one box, I ate some, my daughter ate some, I ate a little more and there were still leftovers. My mom ate several times from her box too. Everything was good and fresh. The only issue I had was the spicy pork was almost all onions but it was flavored well so it didn’t all go to waste. Going back this Friday!

Was sad to see that it's just a walk up window. They have buffet to go, with a small box running almost $12. Food was lukewarm, and just ok. It was a one and done for me.

I love coming here. It’s definitely one of my families go to places. They almost always recognize and remember our order. My toddler is such a ridiculously picky eater, but can down their chicken and noodles. My baby can’t get enough of their egg rolls. It’s just so quick and easy. I love these sweet people and their food.

Lovely people, service is always great. I hate they had to go to pickup window only but I understand why. The food has always been great and hot.

Parking: Spaces close to the front door and there is an empty old grocery store next door if you need to park there you can or even across the street. The family who owns this are very nice and you feel like family. They remember your family members and ask about how they are doing. I miss going in to sit and visit.

Kid-friendliness: Very like I said before they learn and remember your names and family and always ask about everyone.

Wheelchair accessibility: All one floor and wide doors to go in. Wide isles. Very quick service.
