I ordered online from the the website last night, like I always do. I have ordered from Abel's several times and I have never had an issue. I went and picked up my order but when I got home saw that part of my order was missing. I called the restaurant and told them the issue. A manager got on the phone and told me that I could come back and get the missing part of my order or they could deliver the missing part of no charge to me. I told them I did not want to get back out with my baby. The manager said they would deliver the missing part of my order. Before hanging up I asked the manager if he had my address (because he never asked for it). He said that he did and someone would deliver my order shortly. Well, no one never came. I called the restaurant today to let them know that no one came. Instead of trying to resolve the issue and make it right. The young lady put me on hold and came back and said " I spoke to someone and they said that didn't happen. We don't deliver. " I informed her that I didn't need to make that up and that I did speak to someone there last night. The lady on the phone then says there is nothing she can do about it since she wasn't working last night and that I would have to call back at 5 o'clock when the worker from last night comes back in. How is that good customer service? At this point it's not about the missing food, it's about how the situation was handled. I paid for something and didn't get what I paid for. Instead of making the situation right, I was met with rudeness and unprofessional behavior. Which is sad because I have been coming to this restaurant for years.
Super fun feel of Old Mexico and superb food. And frugal prices make for an enjoyable and affordable family gathering. Abel’s is a consistent happy destination.
Quick Service, Great Crew and Food!
We were seated without waiting. The staff was perfect. They were not overbearing, nor were they sluggish.
We were treated as though we were family.
The food was amazing, and there was plenty of it.
Decades or more since I saw the COCKROACH 🪳. Tried today5/5/25 waiter got order WRONG, then never came to table but talked on the phone by RR for 20min. NEVER TRYING AGAIN.
We pass about a half dozen other Mexican places to make the 20 minute drive here. Highly recommend!
Best Mexican in OKC area!

Food is good but the to-go containers suck. The container broke & all my food is in the bottom of a bag. The rest of the families food was fine.

The food is delicious. The servers are excellent and very friendly. If you haven't eaten here you are definitely missing out. I've been eating here since 2013 and will continue as long as they are open.

2 stars because the chips and Pina were good. Just the chips though... The salsa and queso are not.
Honestly I feel guilty to bust Oklahoma City's bubble with all these rave reviews. This was some of the worst Mexican food I have ever had. The yellow water they call queso is atrocious. I really think it's from a can and thinned out with water. ? My son got the cheese enchilada which is smothered in the cheese water so it was also gross.
The steak fajitas had an odd aftertaste, tomato maybe? The fajita steak is cut so thick that you need a knife and fork or else you have to rip your taco apart like a wild animal. The steak street tacos were bland at best.
I ordered to go and the restaurant looked clean. I had 4 bags of food and no one offered to help me carry them out. They just watched me take two trips.
I must say, if this is the best "authentic" Mexican food Oklahoma City has, I highly recommend a trip to Houston because you do not know what authentic Mexican food tastes like. Sorry.

Seriously, the best authentic Mexican food in town. A bit pricey, but I'll pay lol. Please "take my money" ?
Wait staff are awesome, courteous, great attitudes, and hard workers. Please tip them well, keep this place open OKC!
