We tried Chennai Café for the first time yesterday and definitely will be back! The restaurant is quiet, and the service is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We aren’t very familiar with South Indian cuisine, but our waitress helped answer all the questions we had and guided us with a few suggestions. In the end, we were satisfied with our meal and loved it so much we ordered take out to have leftovers at home for later. If you like a bit of heat, I definitely recommend the chili garlic dosa.

Authentic South Indian taste. We had mutton biriyani, Idiyappam, khuzhi paniyaram and lassi. Serving sizes are little less but taste is amazing.

Such a lovely Southern Indian restaurant. Everything is authentically made and tastes flavorful. The goat curry was great and a perfect level of spice. We also tried the chapati and korma which was excellent. The chapati was thin and tasty. I loved my cardamom chai Bobba lovely mixture of flavors. The only con is the portion sizes and prices. The portions are a bit small and the it is a bit pricey for the size.
All of the waiters were very nice and helpful with everything. I loved the atmosphere as well it had a fancy feel high is perfect for an evening meal.

The food was soooo good and full of flavor! You can tell that everything is freshly made to order. The owner is very nice, and explained to me what some of the items on the menu were. I will always eat here when traveling through Oklahoma.

Food like your Tamil neighbor made. Great sambhar (9/10), medhuvada (8/10), idli 7/10). Idlis could be more airy...little bit dense.
Dosai is great.
Filter coffee excellent.
Friendly staff.
By far the best Tamil food in
Oklahoma.
Update one week later:
today being dussehra, tried their lemon rice, tamarind rice and curd rice. All super authentic and tasty. 10/10 for all.
They also mentioned they had changed their idly batter and asked me to try one. A world of a difference.
Now rates as high as any I've had in the homes of my Tamil. Neighbors in India.
11/10 on idlies ( not a typo).
Super friendly staff and owner as well.
Very highly recommended. ?

Had visited as a group, ordered various South Indian delicacies. All were authentic especially Ven Pongal which was authentic with ghee flavor, was melting in the mouth with the accompanying chutney assortment. Filter coffee is worth a visit with perfect sweetness & aroma. Freshness of the ingredients is palpable in most dishes. Huge portions. Worth a visit.

I was on my way to Phoenix, Az. I was searching for Indian restaurants. The name Chennai Central Cafe got my attention. Then I checked the menu and reviews. Someone mentioned Mutton Biriyani, and when I looked at the location, it was like 45 minutes away. I be honest here, that 45 minutes of driving is totally worth it. Mutton biriyani is really awesome. They serve in banana leaf, and that makes it more unique. Mutton gravy tastes so good. Service is great. Front staff are very friendly. If I ever come back to the area, I know where I am going to have some good South Indian food.
