Do not be fooled by the appearance. We stumbled in here late one morning on a camping trip at Robbers Cave state park, desperate for a donut fix. The place was empty and the interior was nothing to write home about, but let me tell you—this place is a hidden treasure.

The selection that was left was simple: glazed donuts and sausage rolls. We ordered two glazed twists and a couple of their classic glazed donuts.

These are, hands down, the absolute best donuts I have ever eaten in my life.

They were phenomenally light, fluffy, and melted in our mouths. The glaze was perfect—sweet but not overly so. I am genuinely ashamed of how many I consumed and how quickly I ate them on the drive back to camp.

We drove away from a literal state park known for outlaws, feeling like we had just committed a heist ourselves by getting donuts this good. Forget the fancy gourmet spots; this unassuming place has mastered the art of the simple, perfect donut.
