Love this Place. One of my Favorites for BBQ. Clean Friendly Atmosphere Still feels brand new. Wait Staff is Eager to get those orders in. We enjoyed the Calf Fries. And they came up Fresh and Hot! I enjoyed the dipping sauce. We both had the 2 meat platter. We both had the Pork Ribs and Beef Brisket! They have choice of meats and sides. My sides were Fries and Cole Slaw. My Guest had potato salad and Cole slaw. Only criticism on the meal was the portion control on BBQ Sauce. I know it affects costs. The what you Are calling country music was on the loud side in the dining area we were in. Owner was in and said Hello. So much food had to take home the rest.

This is a tough one. This is the second time we have come. The chicken fry is pretty good, as are most of the sides. The smoked meats, however are what you would expect in California. The smoke ring is pathetic, there is no bark at all and moreover, no smoke flavor. The brisket tastes good, but like a good pot roast, not smoked brisket. The ribs were tender, but nearly flavorless.
I am very disappointed in the bbq, everything is good.
They also charge a processing fee when you pay. Instead of adjusting the prices, they add the fee to the bill, which is tacky. Fees are a part of doing business, adjust your prices 2% instead of charging a fee, that's just stupid and enough to make me stop coming here.

This place is a gem. The food is always excellent, the place is always busy, and the staff is always professional. Even though it is out a way from any big town, I'm sure it'll be open for years to come. As long as it is, we will always be coming back

We really enjoyed our first visit to Mugsy’s. We had the ribs and smoked sausage, and would recommend both. The fried okra was very, very good! Our favorite part was probably the rolls! Warm, soft and served with delicious cinnamon butter. Generous portions and fair prices.

I was very surprised. Had seen many bad reviews. I've known Darrell for a long time. He was there helping out the whole time. The food was great and we had big servings. He was beyond friendly and we all had leftovers to take home. It was a great experience and will be going back!

Mugsy's Grubhouse is putting Yale Oklahoma back on the map!
We were headed to the Oklahoma Steam & Gas Engine Show in Pawnee and thanks to Tripadvisor we found MUGSY’S GRUBH0USE in Yale, OK. The place has a wide variety of sandwiches, BBQ platters, salads, baked potatoes, steaks, great sides, beer and wine, and a kids menu. I had the GRUBHOUSE burger and my wife the Fried Green Tomato BLT. Both were delicious and the fries were perfect. There were quite a few diners in the restaurant and I noticed that just about everything on the menu was being ordered; a testament to it is “all good!” The servers are very attentive to the customers and everyone works to keep the place spotless.
The decor in the restaurant is country and has a great collection of historical photos from the area. There are also, some beautiful sketches and paintings on display, which were done by a local artist. You could spend an hour just touring the walls. The owner is a hands-on guy. He was seating customers, busing tables, checking with customers to make sure orders were correct and took the time to visit with everyone in the place. I would say this guy has more energy than a 6 year old on a sugar high the day after Halloween!
On the way out we were looking at great collection of pictures on the wall. He noticed our interest and took the time to tell us about the historical pictures, the art work and gave us a tour of the place along with explaining the history of his business. They have large inside and outside dining area and are able handle some fairly large groups. The outside dining area is covered. Some of the tables are made from old wagon wheels and they have a couple of very unique windmill ceiling fans to keep you cool. There is plenty of parking in the back.
As the word gets out the MUGSY’S GRUBHOUSE will become a must do destination for bikers, car clubs and anyone wanting a great meal. It is really neat to see entrepreneurs such as this owner reinvesting their time and money into these small towns in Oklahoma.
