As a native New Mexican, I've had better New Mexican food in fast food places in my home State. Tried it for the first time last year and wasn't impressed. Food was mediocre Tex-Mex tasting. Decided to give it another try a few days ago. I ordered the stuffed Sopapillas with red and green chile sauce. My first bite of the sopapilla, I felt something strange in my mouth. It was a piece of hard plastic, about an inch long. Needless to say, I told the waitress who took my food and the piece of plastic back to the kitchen. She then came back and told me the manager looked at it and said it was an onion peel. No, it wasn't an onion peel. I know the difference. The manager didn't even bother to come talk to me. They offered to cook up another plate of food, but that was a hard pass from me. I'll be contacting the health department.

Ate here for the first time today. Food is AH-MAZING!!!! And I’m incredibly picky when it comes to Spanish rice and food in general. The rice is perfect and fluffy and yummy! Def a 10 in my book. Sopapillas are delightful and the hot honey with it is life changing for those who like spicy sweet. Def recommend this restaurant.

This place was hyped up for me, and while it was a solid restaurant with good Mexican food and options, there was nothing out of the ordinary wonderful about it. Some highlights: +owner and her son were friendly +extensive options including those featuring green chiles +large portions -extremely crowded on a weekend evening; wait is ridiculously long and waiting area is far too crowded -nothing to write home about

Came here on the recommendation of a friend and they did not disappoint!Everything was exceptional from the service to the made from scratch fresh food! Came here thinking it'd be another take on Mexican food but it's actually New Mexican influenced with green chilies shining thru. Without a doubt a shining gem on route 66!Don't forget to try one of their home made pies for dessert! They all sounded so good!

The chimichang is delicious and huge get the hot version so good. Their chips and salsa is also good. The vegetable options are also very good. Would give it 5 stars but very noisy can barely hear the people your dining with
