Ordered a large pepperoni pizza it had no flavor. The cheese was not melted. Processed cheese With no flavor. The guy did not know how to cook a pizza at all kept on checking the pizza very dirty. They keep the containers that they cook the pizza on on a little rack that sits on the floor. All the sauce containers were very dirty.

I recently tried the mutton pizza from Benedict’s in Ajax, and I have to say—this is one of the best specialty mutton pizzas I’ve ever had. From the first bite, you can tell this is a family-owned business that puts heart into every dish.

The crust was perfectly baked—soft on the inside with a nice crisp on the edges. What truly stood out was the generous amount of tender, flavorful mutton spread across the pizza. The mutton was well-marinated, cooked to perfection, and had a bold, slightly spicy flavor that really made this pizza special. It paired beautifully with the red onions and sliced green chilies, adding a balance of heat and sweetness.

A fresh wedge of lemon in the center added a surprising yet delicious zing when squeezed over the slices—elevating the mutton flavor even more. The creamy dipping sauce on the side was the perfect finishing touch.

You can tell the ingredients are fresh, the recipe is thoughtful, and the mutton is top quality. This pizza had a homemade, soulful feel—a true reflection of a family-run kitchen that values taste and tradition.

If you’re in the Durham region and love mutton or want to try something beyond the usual pizza options, Benedict’s is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next order!

Social media really let me down with this one. First off when we got there, We weren’t sure if the store was open or closed. When we finally found the open door, there is no lights on dark and gloomy, The dude behind the counter seemed somewhat nice, but also seemed like he didn’t want to be there. The price is reasonable for a gourmet pizza and chicken wings. The wait time is unreasonable as we were the only customer in the store at the time. Took over 30 minutes for me to get a medium pizza and chicken wings, I was kind of getting worried because I had to pay for parking and I only got an hour. The place is very dishevelled food delivery bags everywhere chairs are quite dirty, and the washroom sink filthy. The pizza was definitely a two out of five. The chicken wings were -5 out of 1 million. Won’t be going back there again. Maybe when they opened and they were new, it was the talk of the town and they probably cared a little bit more then, But I’ll be honest I think the train has left the station and isn’t returning anytime soon.
