I recently tried the mutton pizza from Benedict’s in Ajax, and I have to say—this is one of the best specialty mutton pizzas I’ve ever had. From the first bite, you can tell this is a family-owned business that puts heart into every dish.
The crust was perfectly baked—soft on the inside with a nice crisp on the edges. What truly stood out was the generous amount of tender, flavorful mutton spread across the pizza. The mutton was well-marinated, cooked to perfection, and had a bold, slightly spicy flavor that really made this pizza special. It paired beautifully with the red onions and sliced green chilies, adding a balance of heat and sweetness.
A fresh wedge of lemon in the center added a surprising yet delicious zing when squeezed over the slices—elevating the mutton flavor even more. The creamy dipping sauce on the side was the perfect finishing touch.
You can tell the ingredients are fresh, the recipe is thoughtful, and the mutton is top quality. This pizza had a homemade, soulful feel—a true reflection of a family-run kitchen that values taste and tradition.
If you’re in the Durham region and love mutton or want to try something beyond the usual pizza options, Benedict’s is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next order!
Social media really let me down with this one. First off when we got there, We weren’t sure if the store was open or closed. When we finally found the open door, there is no lights on dark and gloomy, The dude behind the counter seemed somewhat nice, but also seemed like he didn’t want to be there. The price is reasonable for a gourmet pizza and chicken wings. The wait time is unreasonable as we were the only customer in the store at the time. Took over 30 minutes for me to get a medium pizza and chicken wings, I was kind of getting worried because I had to pay for parking and I only got an hour. The place is very dishevelled food delivery bags everywhere chairs are quite dirty, and the washroom sink filthy. The pizza was definitely a two out of five. The chicken wings were -5 out of 1 million. Won’t be going back there again. Maybe when they opened and they were new, it was the talk of the town and they probably cared a little bit more then, But I’ll be honest I think the train has left the station and isn’t returning anytime soon.
Hot honey peperoni was delicious!!
They delete all of their bad reviews off of social media. Stay away unless you want stale food with hair in it!
First of all it takes 1.5 hours for an order when you order through uber eats which would be understandable if the food was actually fresh. The first time I ordered the food was good (not amazing but good) still took almost 2hours in the middle of the week as well… come on now, you aren’t THAT busy.
Second time I ordered, the wings were HARD and INEDIBLE as if they took yesterday’s leftovers and refried it for us to eat. Then I thought well at least the pizza would be good, WRONG, hair baked right in to two slices, thick black hair 🤢 lost my appetite the minute I saw the garbage we were given. I comment on their socials to let others know of my experience and their influencer friends they paid yet they always delete them. Others have commented about finding hair in their food and all the videos they post is them making pizza without a hair net but they do nothing to improve their service or quality. I don’t see them lasting very long in business unless they take the criticism of their customers very seriously and make efforts to improve yet they don’t do that because of their ego. So gross
Very good pizza, very heavy. If you are a fan of pizziolio style pizza this is the spot. Their prices are a bit on the higher end however the taste is good.
A nice family run spot to grab a good style pizza. Check the menu for various styles and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
The vegan pizza was excellent, with large chunky veggies. I had the Spring pizza with the olive oil and garlic base and it was delicious.
Perfect late night spot for good food!!! Staff were all very friendly and nice, and the food tasted amazing! ☺️ I would recommend their popular sweet heat pepperoni and Eelam pizza 🍕
Drove all the way from Mississauga to try the Sweet heat pepperoni pizza.
Great dough, solid portions and quality ingredients! Definitely a 9/10 and I will be coming back for more.
Ordered their Greek salad and large sweet heat pepperoni pizza.
Definitely would go back again! Just because my family loved that it was family run and the customer service was amazing.
Greek Salad 10/10
Sweet Heat Pepperoni Pizza 9.5/10

I like their pizza, their Elaam pizza is good with Sri Lankan flavours. The Chicago deep dish is good too. They have halal pepperoni which i appreciate. All great! Nice, kind friendly and hard working family
Food and people working there were amazing. Ordered the Detroit styled pizza (Secret Menu) and was a solid 10/10, I would highly recommend everyone to check out this hidden gem. You won’t be disappointed!
Best pizza you can find in the Durham Region.
🍕10/10! Amazing customer service at Benedict's Pizza. The Sweet Heat Pepperoni pizza is a must-try and the crust is just cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!
The dough is slightly better than average and that's really the only good thing I can say about the food
The ingredients are not fresh. Pickled jalapeno, pickled onion. Everything is straight out of a can.
The marinara had zero flavour and was watery.
I know there's cheese on the pizza, but it doesn't taste like there is.
The pizza is very expensive for bottom-of-the-barrel ingredients.
Super clean looking place and great service - just a very poor product they're selling.
