Captain Neel's Fish & Chips - Kebab Delights

Great food and atmosphere was pleasant. The service was good but under staffed as it took 50 minutes before we got our fish and chips and there was only 6 other people in the restaurant. But other than that great place.

We dropped in for a quick lunch and ordered the Chole Puri and the Chicken Masala. Took a while to prepare but served steaming fresh. Both dishes were very well prepared and delicious. Our server was Vishnu who was extremely courteous and kept returning to ask if we wished to order more.
We plan to visit again to try out the Fish & Chips as well as some of the other Indian dishes.

We wanted to try a different fish and chips place so went went to Captain Neel's the service was slow but it was because there was only one person running the whole show. We were not in a rush so we didn't mind waiting. The food came out hot and fresh. It was delicious. The tartar sauce was so good with the fish. I think considering there was only one person Bisnu that took out order, cook the food and served us he did an amazing job! As a treat after I got the frozen hot chocolate which I'm glad I tried because it was so good. I think for what we got it was good value and delicious taste. I will be back to try the butter chicken and mutton!

My husband and I came in Christmas night. We had some Halibut and chips. The halibut was better than we have found in AGES. Thank you for such an enjoyable dinner.

Was in area and craving poutine. Ordered 2 halibut with salad, poutine and chicken fingers with fries.

Order was wrong as they doubled up chicken fingers but corrected it before service.

Took quite a while for food to get prepped.

Something must have burned in their oil as fries carried the burnt taste

Halibut had a nice crispy coating, chicken fingers were sourced from someplace, definitely not in house made.

May come back for the Indian menu, but will avoid the fried menu

Good customer of former Captain Williams now Captain Neels. Ordered 5 halibut and 3 fries and onion rings. Still great taste, quality and size. Totally satisfied with friendly customer service as well with owner Neel and Nirmal!

Very friendly staff, took the time to explain everything. The fish and chips is one of the best I have tried in GTA. Tandoori chicken is very authentic along with the chutneys. Will go again.

I ordered via Uber Eats not realizing the place was in Ajax (I'm in Whitby) but despite the distance, the food arrived hot, the food was cooked perfectly and delicious. The fish was crispy, not the battered taste that some places have. I'd definitely order the fish again!!

I hate to do this because it's a small business but the portions here have been getting smaller and smaller with regards to the fish and chips. First they started giving less and less chips and I went a couple days ago and the fish was like half the size as normal. I guess they're struggling because they're always empty but reducing your portions this drastically is not going to increase business. On the positive side the food is delicious.
