Not what I expected. Food wasn't the greatest, and definitely not worth the $. 3 couples received 3 separate bills that were handwritten and the waitress added her own 20% tip? Won't be going back and I'm all about supporting local.

Lived in the area for 20 years. Never been. Will never go again. Food was terrible Definitely not authentic Italian. Slab of cheese on the veal. It was disgusting.Caprese salad…. Cold tomatoes and cheese no olive oil no balsamic glaze. Veal comes out with a tiny I mean very tiny bowl of pasta in the plate with the veal. A slab of white cheese all over the veal.Stuffed chicken that was supposed to be rolled was butchered. Out come a chicken roll but cut into many pieces. House wine was good. The kicker…. The service. Young girls were very pleasant older lady shouldn’t be a server. To boot…. They charge you tip automatically on a hand written receipt.

Casa Verde is an authentic and charming restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was top notch and well executed. Service was EXCELLENT! It was a pleasure meeting and speaking with the family who has been operating this amazing restaurant for over 30+ years. This will be my go-to restaurant in Durham now.

Finally visited and loved the food. It's a cute and small restaurant. The calamari was tender and crispy. Carbonara was rich and delicious. We also got one of the specials which was roasted red pepper ravioli in tomato and cream sauce which was also excellent. Finished it off with in house made crema caramel. Will definitely be back!
This is literally our favourite restaurant!! My husband and I celebrate all of our birthdays and anniversaries here plus more. The calamari apperizer, Italian coffee and zabaglione dessert is a must have. We have tried numerous dishes here and they have ALL been fantastic (some tops are the carbonara and lamb rack) They always have a different specials and those are always good too (the veal on bone is our fav!!!) Everyone there is super friendly. We just love everything about them!! 💜💜💜💜💜

What an embarrassing experience taking my father here for dinner.
Reservations at 7:00…by 7:25 the waitress is standing beside me insisting I place my order because “the kitchen is closing in 5 minutes”. Literally firmly standing and waiting.
Had to tell her “you’ll have to walk away if you want me to figure out what I want…standing over me isn’t going to speed this up”.
Place our orders and food comes. Food was good.
8:50 rolls around and it’s “we’re closing now, so you guys will have to leave”
Never in my life had I been forced to order by 7:30 because the kitchen wanted to close an hour and a half before the restaurant closed.
Won’t be going back here any time soon.

You know that old song about the moon hitting your eye like a big pizza pie? I think I finally understand what ol' Deano was talking about cause by the time I left casa verde, I certainly was in amorè.
The best Italian food in Ajax bar none. The veal scaloppine here is out of this world, also the bruschetta *chefs kiss*
If you have a date you want to impress, this is where you wanna go. Especially when the patio is open!
