Unfortunately this was such a disappointment, took my mom and husband there for dinner August 2025 and the place was super hot, super loud, pots and pans falling and banging, loud coffee machine on the background, my husband asked for a simple penne a la vodka (that wasn’t in the menu) and it came out SO bland, honestly could have made it better at home and they charged us over $30 for it. My dish was a shrimp pasta and it was also very bland and expensive.
If you want GOOD Italian food in Pickering go to Amici’s not this place, it was a bust. Sorry Casa Verde!

To be fair, the food tasted delicious, but my wife suffered from food poisoning after ordering their seafood linguine. As it is summer, we had spend days together as a family, eating meals together. We went to Casa Verde for her birthday and it was the first time we had had individual meals in days. She ordered the seafood linguine and in the middle of the night was violently ill. When I called to tell them about this, instead of apologizing, they said that food poisoning takes days to present (it doesn’t), that they serve a lot of this dish and no one else had called (a good sign), but also that, in 30 years, no one had ever gotten sick from their food, which I find hard to believe. They just dug in, denied it could have been a bad clam, and said they were sorry to hear I was going to leave an honest review,

I had a reservation for 7.30 and unfortunately arrived a bit late due to heavy traffic. Instead of understanding, the manager bluntly told me the kitchen was closed because “it’s too hot and people are melting in there.” She also mentioned something about a two‑hour sitting limit, even though we were never planning to stay that long.
Her attitude was absolutely unacceptable—she was rude, dismissive, and spoke to me as if I was bothering her. At one point she almost outright said it’s not her problem. It felt like my business and my money weren’t welcome there.
I never been to this place and will not be coming back. I’d rather go somewhere that actually values its customers and where the owner cares about the people who keep the business running. Avoid this place if you expect even basic courtesy.

Had a reservation for the evening , arrived a bit late and was shown the door even though was barely 7.35 pm. Extremely hostile receiving. In the kitchen it was too hot I was told, so we cannot serve food...very rude! Crazy experience. Cannot say about food, but if it is as this, oh boy!

Very charming restaurant, to be completely honest the mains didn't blow me away but the desserts are very delicious especially the creme brulee. Overall super cute little restaurant with average food and good dessert!

This is the very best family run Italian restaurant. We’ve been enjoying new and favourite meals for decades and will keep going. We’ve have friends that have lived but come to visit Casa Verdi with us. It’s become a tradition with a few of them. I always make a reservation, makes life easy. Try special occasions like valentine's for a set menu. Amazing.

Quality has gone down but the prices haven't.
They don't even have cream for the coffee.
But a lot of the dishes on the menu have cream in them...
The lamb was overcooked.
The chef came out without us asking and boldly informed us we were wrong.
Guess he was right and we were wrong.
The the lamb was not tender or juicy.
We like to come here on special occasions.
For a 200 dinner we might try somewhere else next time.
The food was amazing and the daily specials are worth going back for, to see what’s new. The building itself is beautiful and the service was excellent. The overall dining experience was perfect, Can’t recommend enough

Casa Verde is a cozy Italian restaurant with excellent food and warm service. I had the Linguine Alla Pescatora, which was an absolute winner—the pasta was perfectly al dente, the seafood was fresh, and the flavors were spot on. I paired it with a Birra Moretti, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The two-hour dining limit felt just right, giving us enough time to relax and enjoy their delicious Crème Brûlée and Tiramisu over coffee. A delightful dining experience overall—I’ll definitely be coming back!

Arrived as a group of 6 to celebrate one of our colleagues and was constantly harassed/scolded by waitresses that we only had 2h to dine. Ruined the entire dinner. Waitresses were all rude and condescending. Wont be returning

The service was good and the atmosphere was good. Unfortunately, the food was not good. If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine this is not the place. I ordered the lasagna and it tasted like it was warmed up in the microwave. It was very mushy and the flavour of the sauce and other ingredients was extremely bland. Moreover, there was a hair in the calamari we ordered for the table. Not just on the calamari, but it was fried with the hair. For what we paid per meal I would have much rather spent this at a better restaurant.

Great menu, everything on our table of 10 was delicious! It was an ordeal to have our bills split based on what we ordered. Though we stayed past closing, we were asked to leave by having the dining room lights shut off. Oddly, I’d still go again.

Casa Verda is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant, making it a great spot for a relaxed evening out.
The food was incredible—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell that a lot of care goes into the ingredients and preparation. On top of that, the drinks were amazing! Thoughtfully crafted and delicious, they perfectly complemented the meal.
Overall, Casa Verda exceeded our expectations. Whether you're looking for a great meal, fantastic drinks, or a wonderful atmosphere to unwind, this place delivers. Highly recommend!
