I used to love this place and haven’t been for a couple of years so I was excited to come back. I’d seen some not too great reviews but with an over 4 rating we figured we’d go for it. Now I wish we heeded the bad reviews.

The good: Our server was courteous and very good. The rice, potatoes, and piri piri sauce were good. We also appreciated the bread and olives. Portion sizes were decent.

The bad: The meats. I ordered the half chicken (see photo) and my friend had steak and egg.

The chicken was overcooked, very dry and not enjoyable at all. And, the steak was quite tough.

We used to love this place but were saddened at the decline in quality of the mains. Maybe we were unlucky and came on a bad day? Our experience is similar to a few other reviews. I don’t think we will be coming back any time soon.

Parking: Lots of parking. Handicapped spots right in front.

One of my go to places for a decent yet flavourful chicken dinners. Their chicken boast flavours and taste. Highly recommend

Food quality was really nice, and the portions were very generous!! We had salmon, chicken, and pork chops at our table and each meal had a very satisfied customer. We were already talking about coming back and whom else we would want to bring before our meals were even over.

The temperature in the dine in seating area was very warm. Suggest maybe one or two more oscillating fans if possible to keep the dine in experience comfortable.

The chicken and squid were cooked to perfection. Mac and cheese were served cold but tasted great and the chicken and pork skin were good as well. It was hot inside but didn't stop me from eating.

My family and I arrived here at 7:11 pm on Friday and were refused service because they were closing at 8. 2 servers went back and forth around us without even asking if we wanted to order to go. They weren't accepting dine in. All we wanted was a sandwich. Food is good but with service like this no one will support this business.

Food and service were really good!..I might add they are a bit expensive.

Catering and dining in makes a huge difference. Anyone trying their food first time is recommended to dine-in first. Dining-in will give you a much better experience than doing catering (still good by the way). If I visit Ajax again, I will come back here again.

For the most part - really good meal.
Sauce is perfection.
Chicken is really nice, only one part was too dry.
I’m going to be coming back here!
