I'm a lifetime Marriott Platinum, but found myself in need of accommodation in the Ajax area instead of the usuel Marriott properties in Whitby or Oshawa. The experience was pleasant, with a quiet, clean room, free parking, and free overnight EV charging. Overall a very nice experience, and I would consider staying here during business trips in the future.

Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Toronto/Ajax was absolutely delightful, thanks to the comfortable accommodations and exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, and much of that credit goes to Rose, the wonderfully kind and accommodating Filipina at the front desk. Rose’s genuine warmth and cheerful demeanor set the tone for our entire stay. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home, ensuring that every detail of our check-in was seamless and that we had everything we needed.
The hotel itself offers a great blend of comfort and practicality. The lobby is bright, inviting, and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches like infused water stations and plenty of seating. The dining area is spacious and tastefully decorated, making it a relaxing spot for breakfast or a casual meal. We appreciated the clean and modern interiors, particularly the bathroom, which features a sleek, illuminated mirror and a well-designed vanity.
Our room was equally impressive—spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully furnished. The beds were comfortable, and the tasteful wall art added a touch of elegance. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day.

Management has treated a long time customer poorly . With Hundreds of stays the last few years, I caught an invoicing issue. This went back for many months. The staff would correct any booking I had and make an adjustment to the my invoices , until recently, when they had a change to the accounting staff. I pointed out the issue and they were apologetic on the phone and even admitted they changed staff and discounts were missed. I asked for a credit and the contact had to discuss with management.

Following up on our conversation earlier today, I had a chance to discuss with upper management regarding your situation.
After discussing this matter with management, it was determined that the reservations were unfortunately booked incorrectly by your assistant. There is a designated rate code with a $149 rate that had been provided to you when contract was signed which should be used when booking. Previously, we had a team member who adjusted your reservations as a goodwill gesture, but she has since retired and is no longer with the hotel.
I wanted to inform you that we are unable to make changes to your previous reservations…
They had a service provided which I came expect and with no notice and at no fault of my own, refused to correct the issue …..
Watch your bill ….
Marriott will now receive over 100 stays and another 20 referrals due to this lack of consideration.
Do not believe the slogan. “We will make it right.” ….This is far from right…

Do not recommend coming for business other than purely the location. Literal hockey game in the hallway on the top floor, all day. Nothing done about it. Trying to get work done is nearly impossible. Do yourself a favour and go across the parking lot.

Stayed one night with a friend for a reunion in the area. Great location,, rooms are very clean and fresh. No buffet breakfast - a la carte - omelette and sides were delicious! Great amenities - loved the hot tub! The attendant in the pool area was incredibly friendly and helpful. Front desk staff is amazing and professional!! Hilton Honors members treated with great respect!!
