Yesterday I had the unfortunate experience of participating in take-out meal from this place. The experience hurt. These people are doing something right on the promotion and perhaps the atmosphere parts of the business - smoking! Woo! That's a good reason to go to a restaurant!, and enough local people who perhaps have not been exposed to good middle-east food visit them. But when it comes to take-out - forget it! The food itself is pretty low grade, the presentation and packaging leaves a lot to be desired, and the prices - to die from! There are so many good options available in this area that I feel really being taken advantage of. Never again!

Had great food and great service by Michael. We were so hungry after our son’s baseball game. Food was so satisfying, and Michael brought ice for my son’s elbow, so he’d be ready for the next outing.

We had visited this restaurant last year and really enjoyed the food, so we decided to return on Sunday, July 27, hoping for a similar experience. Unfortunately, this visit was quite disappointing.
After placing our order, the server brought our plates, and I noticed shisha ashes on one of them. I had to clean it off myself using tissues. The dip trio we ordered didn’t seem fresh and had a noticeable pungent smell. Additionally, the salad served on the side lacked freshness.
It’s unfortunate to see that the quality has declined since our last visit. Even the overall ambience felt less appealing than before. I sincerely hope they work on maintaining the standards they once had.

We have been coming to Laymoon for some time now and it’s finally time I write a review! The food, ambiance, and service are all amazing. Aya always takes the best care of us, she is the most awesome and attentive person who always goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need. This is the gem Ajax needed and we are so glad it’s become a staple in the community. Hoping they continue to do all they do best for years to come!

The food was good, however, the advertised mango drink they have on their menu is deceiving. For the price you’re getting, it is not worth it— it’s nothing special, it taste like the mango juice/nectar you can buy from Walmart, just skip the juice. The service was slow, we found there was a lack of service and attentiveness even though the restaurant was not busy at all.
The interior is nice, but it’s worth noting that shisha smoke takes place inside.

Ordered a mixed shawarma wrap. Originally I wanted the chicken shawarma but it didn’t come with lettuce, tomatoes, onions etc. The beef had a weird taste to it, tasted gamey and bloody, the beef tasted like it wasn’t cleaned/washed properly. Yuck. Also there was parts of the beef that was chewy and there was a piece of tendon in my wrap …like why… also the wrap was very oily. I was excited to not have to travel to Scarborough for good shawarma. I don’t think I’d come back or recommend this place

The trio dip was absolutely amazing. Had the shrimp plate and mixed bbq plate, absolutely delicious. The chicken was a little dry, but the sauce made up for it. Tabouleh was delicious and refreshing! Highly recommended!
