First off, the food I had was delicious. Both were authentic Afghan dishes and the flavours were mouth watering. I have been eating traditional Afghan dishes prepared by Afghans in their homes in Canada since the ‘90s I ordered a full order of Mantoo. This is a traditional festive handmade ground beef Afghan wontons topped with a yoghurt based sauce and lentils in a tomato sauce. The portion was great. I also ordered a Shish kebab which is also a typical traditional dish. I wanted to determine whether the food was typical. They both were delicious. The spices were just right. It was also generously sprinkled with Sumac. The only thing I suggest that the proprietor should do right away is order a ground beef which has no grisol. Both dishes I ordered are made with ground beef. Please make that change and it will make it a 5 Star ⭐️ restaurant. The Shish Kebab was cooked on a charcoal grill. Which enhances the flavours. Keep it up 👍 Next time I’ll have to take photos.

We came from Quebec to come visit toronto and we wanted to try fine Afghan cuisine so we got the food for take out the cashier girl said everything was inside but when we arrived at our hotel everything was a disaster. First of all the taste of the food was not Afghan dish, second the salad smelled and was expired, thirdly the kabab was uncooked and it smelled and finally the cashier did not give us utensils. The chef who ever made that food should go watch Afghan cooking food videos in YouTube because bro does not know how to cook, whoever people who love Afghan food do not go there because you will waste your money and the food.

I placed a take out order and was told the all the sauce was in the bag and when I got back to work they weren’t 😓. A little disappointing. The staff were really kind and over all the food is really good… It’s just a little too pricey for the portion sizes you get in my opinion. The salad was soooo small.
Lunch today at Maimana Naan + Kabab on Ajax was a perfectly wonderful experience! Hubby pronounced the chicken breast meal to be delicious and I would recommend the tandoori chicken salad to anyone! We both found the chicken to super tender and tasty. We also enjoyed interacting with Ruhi, the super friendly young lady behind the counter. If Afghan cuisine is your idea of a great meal, you need to treat yourself with a jaunt to Ajax, to the Maimana Naan + Kabab!

I am very disappointed with their food quality.I ordered for takeout yesterday half tandoori chicken and a burger, food was worst for ever, chicken was stale, and burger’s patty was hard and tasteless .Customer service was very poor too, she should mention the item I order doesn’t come with rice and nun..I will never go there to have food from there.
