Nothing says Canadian to me like a friendly, well run family diner. Michael's Eatery fits the bill perfectly. You feel like a member of the family from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave the restaurant. Aside from the service, the food and prices shine on their own. This is around the corner from Ajax Community centre and we'll be stopping by here often after my son's skating lessons.

The food is not the question here. It is the service and racist server who shames people when they ask for their rightful tax exemption. Not a day after national day of truth and reconciliation and this business has no shame in showing how much work needs to be done here and within this community. It starts with local businesses like this one. I will never be back after watching a woman be yelled at as I ate my food and completely shamed by her request. She was audibly told she should be ashamed for double dipping. I sat disgusted, I left the rest of my food. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. Every child matters and this buisness clearly does not know that. I would very much respect a call from Christina nikoviotos or Duffy the manager who refused to come out to discuss this issue. As a town of Ajax resident, and long time goer of this restaurant, I will do everything in my power to boycott this business until restitution is seen It’s silly I cannot reply to the comments you have made so I guess I’ll just edit my post. I come here all the time and this is honores for me with a discount because I work in the area and have your card. Yes the lady said she was indigenous during the interaction and I’m not sure if your video footage has audio but she was audible as I said and was clearly rude to the customer I’m not sure how you clean watch that from a Birds Eye view it’s not like the interaction was long or physical. But I appreciate your attempt at a diplomatic response. Your reply just clears up the need to further investigate this as a human right violation for discrimination due to the servers comments. She was awful to that lady and literally said “you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to double dip” I heard it. You can dispute that all you want as it’s a clear attempt to try and muddle your way through this one. I am also anishinaabe and I really do hope she reports this.

This was one of those places that has been on our list to try out. We popped in at the spur of the moment. It was busy but we were able to get a nice clean booth. We were greeted with menus and drinks right away. The food was large potions and delicious. The coffee was great and always topped up. We will definitely go back again.
