Oriental Kitchen Chinese Food

Called to make an order for Boxing Day and staff who answered was thoroughly rude. Nothing on their website indicates the restaurant will be closed on Christmas and Boxing day. He reminded me in a rude tone “It is Christmas you know”, then perhaps his customer service should reflect that.

I got General Tsao chicken and it tastes like fish— I’ve never had Hakka food taste this bad before. The service was great and they’ve got good pricing, but the chicken almost tastes unsafe to eat.

Have been ordering from here for the past 45 years. Food has been consistently the same old school North American style Chinese food. Special fried rice has a nice Smokey flavor to it complimenting anything. Hot and Sour soup is actually both in a large portion. Korean shrimp is one on my favorites large shrimp wrapped in tasty pork with a rich oyster sauce. Chow mein is always fresh complimenting the meal.

Call to place an order said hello--I was taken a back when the owner said, get to the point --pick up or deliver! lol. Went to pick up the order and he was incredibly rude. I canceled the order. Lost my appetite.

Picked up chicken chow mein, barbeque pork, pork fried rice, egg rolls and vegetable spring rolls.

The chow mein was all bean sprouts, no noodles. It was watery and flavourless. The barbeque pork. No taste, no sauce just sliced pork that was not fresh. Egg rolls, burnt on the outside but raw inside.

Would not recommend this place. Should have just thrown the $50+ on the garbage. Very disappointed

Went to this place with my grandma in the early 90s. Happy to say its every bit as good as i remember it being.

Very rude staf that work here they are open but inside they are playing some sort of game and waved me away when I tried to go in and order food even though THEY WERE OPEN, would not come here if I here you unfortunately if you are a person of colour they will treat you differently. Disgusting behaviour I witnessed here.

Best in Durham.

We ordered pepper beef which was extremely chewy, nothing like my normal experience. It also lacked flavour. We had the sesime chicken which was red with the sesime seed things. Clearly, it was sweet and sour chicken in disguise. It was really chewy as well. Almost like it was prepared prior and re-fried. Thought I would give this place a try as it has a 4.1 rating. Hopefully, the next customers experience is better than ours.

Ordered chilli chicken with fried rice. It was the sweetest chilli chicken I had. Don’t waste money here. Scarborough is only 10 min from here with favourable driving conditions

Based my going here on good reviews but the food was meh. Not flavourful and rice was dry and the pork had a funny aftertaste. $60 and disappointing. Won't be back. Place looked dated and run down
