The standard may have dropped, especially, with the younger generation helping out and don't really care much for customer service and quality control. We recently ordered 2x spicy beef patties each $2.80, along with 2x Ackee & Saltfish for $3.5 and Goat Patty for $3.5 as well. The flavour is there for the the patty, but the filler is mainly in the middle pocket where the surrounding area is just crust. I would say the best tasting one was the Ackee & Saltfish. I've tried some good patty spots in general and here in Durham is considered one of the good ones, but the standard is dropping. I find a better Jamaican patty shop is 'Tropical Delight Eatery' in Ajax with friendly owners and good priced patties where they have Spicy Beef, Regular Beef, Jerk Chicken and veggie patties. Give them a try and tell me which you think is better in Ajax.

I always try to stop by this place when I'm in Ajax. I don't know why everyone is saying they're not friendly. I find it to be the total opposite. They need to sell Stone Love mixtapes

Patties are tasty but the pastry is NOT flaky and the filling is very low.... for the cost of these patties there should be more filling. For reference I've had the shrimp, goat, mild beef, ackee, and callaloo patties. The beef was the ONLY one with a decent amount of filling and a flaky pastry

Had the mild beef patty and the jerk chicken wrap. Both amazing! I'll definitely be going back. Finally a great jerk and patty place other than Allwyns!

I’d like to start off by saying I love Pattie’s, hands down!! I’ve been here twice, yes the customer service is crappy and there is no greeting or friendly atmosphere. The both times I’ve been here I order to Pattie’s the first time was 2 beef patty’s. They are extremely hot which is good but unfortunately one of my beef Pattie’s had a weird cartilage piece towards the ending which really didn’t sit well with me. Besides that having consumed the Pattie’s I literally had to use the washroom right after twice. I didn’t think anything of it as maybe it was just a normal day having to use the washroom. Did I say I love Pattie’s?? Haha I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went there couple days after for a quick patty. I found it so odd that the second I consumed one patty my stomach kinda hurt. I was still hungry so I went back in to get another one. Stupid me. The second I got home I literally had to use the washroom. I went out and a few hours later I had to go again. Couple hours later I had to go again. It was obvious what the problem was. I don’t have health issues, I’m always eating out and don’t use the washroom for hours or days. But it was evident that the cause of me using the bathroom 2-3 times in one day was a result of eating their Pattie’s. It’s really sad because I love Pattie’s but I will never try their Pattie’s again. A patty is such a simple thing to create and make delicious and healthy and they got it beyond wrong. They really need to do a health and safety in this joint. Not to mention when you walk in and look in the back it looks so disorganized and dirty. They got jackets laying on top of box’s and I could only imagine what goes on back their. Do yourself a favour and don’t go through what I had to too. I have nothing again their restaurant just want to make aware everyone who plans on getting a good patty. It’s not this place.

Purchased 6 patties (2 vege and 4 chicken) on a Saturday, as a gift when visiting some family and was embarrassed to find out it was completely uncooked and the dough was still rubbery. The pastry was not flakey at all. We were unable to hold the patty or take a bite, as everything was spilling out. I do take-out from plenty of Jamaican/Carribean places. I know a good patty and this was unfortunately not anything close to a decent patty. We had to throw it out as it didn't feel safe to eat. When I placed the order in store, they asked me to wait which I had no problem, I believe I waited atleast 15 minutes so I'd expect it to be cooked when receiving the order at that point. Will not be returning

Spicy beef is to die for, slightly fruity. Pastry seems different, though it's probably just because it's so fresh. Buttery and delicious.Curry Goat is delicious, but skimpy with the filling.Shrimp and jerk chicken patties are okay.Callahoo isn't for me.Good people.

Very nostalgic for me especially growing up having these patties and a lot of these types of places have disappeared. it's good to see someone carrying on the tradition.
