I get takeout from here all the time and I am very impressed by the quality of sushi and the bite of the wasabi. A lot of other places don’t offer good quality wasabi but this place has really good wasabi and ginger, and they care about their takeout customer which I really appreciate!!!! I want to extend my thanks to this lovely restaurant. I love coming here whenever I’m working in Ajax! I’ve actually been a customer for years, prior to the current owner taking over. And I really do love everything about it. The food is wonderful, the staff and owner are very kind, and I love the overall experience of dining here! Highly recommend this great place. This, along with Mito Sushi in Bowmanville, is my favourite go-to place in Durham Region for Japanese! 😊

The service was quick and professional from start to finish. We’ll definitely be visiting again soon!

There were only two tables available for most of our visit, but I must commend the staff for their efficiency. The service was impeccable as always, and the food was simply delicious. August 18, 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We decided to have dinner at Sushi & Maki Japanese Cuisine. The restaurant impressed us with its cleanliness and a wide range of seating choices. They provide customers with the flexibility of ordering from the menu or going for the all-you-can-eat option. Opting for the latter, we were pleased to find a diverse selection of dishes spread across the tables. Despite not having a particular affinity for seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by the ample non-seafood options available.
Among the dishes, the Mango Salad was a standout, capturing my palate so much that I couldn't resist going for seconds. While the beef teriyaki rolls were undeniably delicious, their larger size made them a bit delicate and prone to falling apart. The Cheese Wonton proved to be a delightful treat, and I concluded my dining experience with a serving of chocolate ice cream and a crispy deep-fried bun. All in all, the meal went beyond my expectations.
Additionally, it's worth mentioning that the restroom facilities were also maintained in a remarkably clean condition.

Hard to beat, reliable, good food and very good service. This is regular spot for my family, and I’m never disappointed, whether we eat in or take out.
Kid-friendliness: My 5-y-o daughter is a fussy eater, but she’s loves their basic tuna maki and their cucumber maki. The server even rigged up a rubber band on her chopsticks so she eat like the grownups. Great spot for the family to have a nice lunch or dinner.
