This Christmas, I had the absolute pleasure of dining at symposium in Ajax, and it was nothing short of spectacular! Here are some highlights that make me eager to return:

Me and my family of 5 were looking for a Restaurant to dine in spontaneously and we are happy that Symposium made our Christmas Day even more special.

1.Warm and Festive Ambiance: From the moment I stepped in, the cozy, festive decor immediately put me in the holiday spirit. The twinkling lights, beautifully adorned Christmas tree, and soft carols created the perfect holiday vibe. My kids loved it too

2.Exceptional Service: The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, even on such a busy day. They greeted us with warm smiles, checked in regularly without being intrusive, and ensured everything was perfect. Our server and his jokes made our day.
3.Mouthwatering Menu: The Christmas special menu was delightful! Even though the restaurant was packed, food came in on time and with good quality. The desserts, especially the carrot cake, were a treat to the taste buds.
5.Value for Money: Despite the high-quality food and impeccable service, the pricing was very reasonable. It felt like a true Christmas gift to enjoy such an experience without breaking the bank.

If you’re looking for a place that captures the essence of the holidays with excellent food, top-notch service, and a festive atmosphere, Symposium is a must-visit.

Our visit to Symposium on Christmas Day was an absolute disaster. This restaurant has no respect for its customers or their time and money.

With only two waiters and one man in a blue shirt running around, it was clear they had no plan to handle the holiday crowd. For a group of four seated in a booth, we didn’t even receive basic service — not even a single coffee refill!

Food cold and home fries stone cold no ketchup no condiments no body checked on us everytime I come to symposium some body cheks on us.

This level of bad management is unacceptable. It’s disgraceful that a business expects paying customers to tolerate such a chaotic, understaffed mess. We came to enjoy a nice Christmas meal, but instead, we were treated to a complete lack of care and attention.

If Symposium can’t handle its operations or prioritize customer satisfaction, they won’t last long. People work hard for their money and deserve a quality dining experience, not this excuse for service.

Do better or close your doors — because this is not it.

To the restaurant it's 2024 and soon 2025 people have million other option get it togather for the sake of employees.

Trash service. The waiters did not even glance at me. I waited 45 minutes to have my order taken, then another 45 minutes for my food. The food was cold. Never again.

Was there this morning....good service...terrible food...bad smell in the men's washroom.
We will not return....
Btw...it used to be packed for lunch because of the great food..now only five tables being served...
That should tell you something .
Wish them well on xmas eave.....but they need to clean the place up and get a better cook.

Exceptional service, and the food was delicious.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding—everything exceeded expectations! I will definitely recommend it. We opted for the breakfast menu, but I noticed others enjoying their lunch, and they seemed equally delighted! Waffle were sooooo yummy

This business put unsolicited flyer on my car and made a huge mess. It's basically guess to the windshield . I'd post a picture if I could.

I was part of a group of 60 people, and they managed it very efficiently. Food was great as well. Restaurant is clean, and high ceiling gives a spacious athmosphere. They have kids menu too. ☺️

The worst restaurant in durham. Service is horrible, they served tequila shots with a salt rim, food was cold and stale. Manager did nothing at all all night, there was no last call, manager just gave us the bill without letting us know the place was closing.

Came with a good smattering of family with a last minute reservation. The restaurant / staff very obliging fitting us in and entertaining our dining requests. Well done!👍
