This place has very bad service, we arrived and had to wait over 40 minutes for our breakfast to arrive and it wasn't that busy, they got our order wrong more than once. The food was cold and when it was time to pay the bill they charged us an 18% tip for a service that honestly did not deserve it. The place is nice, comfortable but the service and food 0/10

Have had lunch here a few time and service is always friendly and the food tasty and nicely presented. Staff are attentive and hospitable, really seem to care.

Celebrated a friend's birthday. Our server Thomas was amazing. Very friendly, engaging, ensured that we were happy. He got a lovely cheesecake slice with Happy Birthday writing for my friend and was very accommodating to our party. Also love the happy hour drink and app specials.

I don’t know what went wrong at this location, usually Symposium is our go to place and we used to go to the Markham location, it was our first time in Ajax, really disappointed by the food. First of all the plate which was given to us was not washed properly and there were food stains which I asked the server to replace it. Then ordered 02 veggie omelet plate and utterly disappointed. Eggs were overcooked, dried and burnt and the veggies were not seasoned properly it was all mixed up and didn’t even feel like eating to he honest. Big sliced onions, Brine red bell peppers . Moreover I ordered a latte and there were food stains outside the glass.

I do see in the review section, the restaurant has replied to only the positive reviews and not the negative ones. Kindly accept the criticism as well and try to offer good service in the future.

My husband and went for Friday Special which was Fish & Chips. Very good except you have purchase a beverage to get the deal. We found that to be ridiculous. You'd expect this from a fast food place but a restaurant. We won't be back since there are other restaurants offering weekly specials without being forced to purchase a beverage.

It's all a great experience at Symposium Cafe Restaurant, the service is all great the server Maya was great and the manager walks around to make sure everyone is happy and having a great time. I will always come here not only cause it's close to my home but you always feel welcome here.

Quality of food and menu choices have gone downhill since the last time I was there about a year ago. No seasonal offerings. Servers were pleasant but seemed rushed as if there may not have been enough of them for the number of people in the restaurant. Noise level is always off the charts. Probably won't go back.

They recommended the butter chicken. It wasn't the best. So so. A lot of repetitive menu items. Something on a bun, something wrapped. Salads seem blah... It is not my kind of restaurant.

The restaurant had difficulty coping with the large number of patrons on Mother's Day. It took over 60 minutes to receive our food order. Although we reserved weeks in advance, we were squeezed into a table surrounded by other tables. Overall a disappointing experience after a very nice experience at another Symposium location.

Great food at a reasonable price. Staff and service was on point. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a night out or just for dessert and coffee, they have a great selection!
