“Dropped in on a Sunday after a candy/ice cream shop didn’t work out in Petrolia. A bit of a drive but what else are you doing on Sunday anyway?

Got there okay, was open, great start. Had an odd smell in the place and a crying child so that’s the only reason for the 4 stars on the atmosphere. But the 2 ladies behind the counter were nice and fun to chat with. They also had a few video games to play for free (I got the high score for Ms Pac-Man, of course).

I got a banana split, my go to dessert - chose 2 scoops of polar express (mint & chocolate ice creams mixed with Oreo cookies) & one chocolate (they use Shaw’s ice cream, nice). Everything was great - cherries on each scoop, whipped cream - the only oddity was caramel sauce instead of pineapple. I prefer the traditional pineapple but was still good.

The wife had a sundae. It was okay. The only odd thing was that it comes with one topping but chocolate fudge is not considered part of it so she would have to get 3 toppings for chocolate fudge, whipped cream, and Skor bits. You would think chocolate fudge was standard fare for a sundae but oh well, whatcha gonna do?

“My mom and I just stopped in for the first time today, and not only are the owners lovely, the baking is INCREDIBLE!!! We tried the rustic artisan bread and it absolutely tastes like regular bread. You can't tell it's gluten free. I've already started making my list to place an order online! So thankful we have such a great bakery in Glencoe! :)”

“Great pit stop. Wonderful staff at the register. The only suggestion is to have someone go around and wipe down the tables a bit more often. It got busy when we went, so I'm sure we just missed a bunch of people using the table before us. Overall, it was still quite clean, including the washrooms, given that people were lined up for it too.”
