Delicious and very pleasant staff. They make me want to become a regular. We drove an hour to get there otherwise I would become a very frequent visitor.

Their steak pie was bang on that.

“Butties is the restaurant that introduced me to Hamilton’s version of contemporary flavor — the first place where the experience felt fresh, modern, and meaningful. There’s something about the atmosphere, the drive there, and the natural surroundings that creates real, thoughtful connections and a sense of unity. Through my time in Haddington, I’m learning how to chase my own path, and Butties has become part of that journey — a place that inspires my first contemporary project and gives me a sense of A.M.E every time I’m there.”

I had the breakfast with square sausage, haggis, tattie scones, eggs and toast. It was tasty. First time for haggis. Taste was good but the texture was different than I'm used to. Seemed a bit grainy but I guess that's how it is. $17 is a bit steep but prices are going up everywhere. Service was good.

We drove to Ancaster just to try Butties. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There's a large variety on the menu so if you want something easy you can get it and if you want black pudding, potato scones and a fresh bun with eggs no problem. Thanks for a good Scottish meal!

What a lovely surprise to find Butties of Scotland when I was in Ancaster today. I had the breakfast with eggs, peameal bacon potato, and beans. The best breakfast in the Hamilton area in years. They also have a store with British and Scottish items.
