Overpriced and coffee quality you can get at Tim's. Dark roast tasted watered down. Desserts and savory items ok. Service to the point even though there was no one else there. But nothing that says we want you to come back. Not sure the staff wanted to be there either.

Now this is the way pastries etc should taste!
I recently discovered Caniche Bakery after months of saying I should go in.
So glad I did!
The food is substantial, meaning it has actual substance to it. As I'm writing this, I'm munching on a date square whose ingredients I can actually taste, rather than a melange of sugar, oats and whatever else goes into what are optimistically called date squares.
Last weekend I tried one of their muffins, and it was moist and delicious. And again, you don't have to wonder what the ingredients are. You can taste them.
I think it's safe to say I've found my new favourite bakery!

Amazing local coffee house and French-style bakery. The baked goods and coffee are the best in Ancaster. Also a really cozy sit in area as well as picnic tables at the rear for summer! Highly recommend!

A close work colleague suggested me to buy bakery products from this store .
I bought a variety of items and trust me OUT OF THE BALL PARK!
Michelle ( owner) does custom designed cakes and I had the opportunity to taste a couple and top shelf!
I will be ordering …… and I suggest to ALL to visit this store!
Amazing staff as well!
Thank you for making my experience an excellent one !

Love my local neighbourhood cafe and bakery!! Pilot Coffee (yum), baked in house lemon tart is my fave, the multi-seed sour dough and stuffing bread are always on my roster and the seasonal pumpkin coffee cake is 🤤. Also, I love the regular staff & Michelle, always friendly, accommodating and down for a quick chat!

First time to Caniche with a friend and it was wonderful!!!! I had the Croque Monsieur and my friend had pumpkin cheesecake and another pumpkin sweet. All were exceptional. The staff are very friendly and patient while we chose our food and asked questions. The bakery is charming and there is plenty of spacious seating. I will be returning again and again.

First time today even though I had lived in Ancaster for a few years. I enjoyed the quaint size and vintage home that this cafe is in. The seating is around the back. The espresso tastes like good quality beans. I was excited to see the morning glory muffin because it’s hard to find those in any bakery these days. I had my toddler with me and we sat inside because it was raining but we had planned to just take it to go. I didn’t see a high chair but I didn’t ask because he just sat on my lap until his tolerance was done haha. But kids are like that anywhere you go! Would be a nice spot to meet an old friend or catch up with your mom. I will have to go back and try the croissants

The coffee here is excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. There is both patio and indoor seating, so there's plenty of space to relax with some food and coffee.
