Food was good. Had gator bites fist time they were yummy. Tortillas made there so it was nice and fresh. My complaints are that the sides they give you sour cream, cheese, lettuce etc arr so small! Only enough to basically do one fajita. Why so cheap on toppings? Also nearly $17 or $18 for a sangria is kinda ridiculous. Do your research and check prices. Otherwise servers were good. Just to pricey for what you get. Would not return.

Formerly Outback Steakhouse, this is a unique Texmex restaurant!

Onion “skin” in Fajitas for 2 (MULTIPLE pcs). Very disappointed, considering the price $140+ for Fajitas for 2, “Beef” Nachos, Med Salsa Dip and Sml Queso Dip. Beef on nachos was also dried over re-heated beef (3TBS Beef MAX).

Lone Star has a great Meat seasoning Mix, I’ll give them that, that’s why we ordered, it’s tasty. But the quality is terrible. The Tortillas were thin on one half, thick-undercooked dough on the other half.

Portions are a joke.

Steak was good, great cut. Chicken was good, great cut.

Ordered take -out for a Birthday Dinner, spent approximately. $260. We were given 25 wet wipes, box of spareribs ( which we did not order) No Queso which everyone wanted. Lots of salsa. Small container of lettuce and white cheese. Not happy! We had to go back again to get the Queso. What a waste of our money.

Server was very odd, coming to our table out of breath and a young cook whistled out to her. I understand kids and their intimacy but this just made the whole dining uncomfortable. Never would expect this from such a nice grill. Disappointed and seems like they were desperate to hire with such workers.

There was no baked potatoes and when I got my Cesar salad there was some type of long stringy thing in it and a peice of tomato. I wondered if it was recycled salad. The ribs were good. My family was very disappointed in the wait time for our bill and the mens bathroom was extremely dirty with pee all over the floor and no soap or papertowels. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Very disappointed. Our group ordered multiple things. Fajita bowl, chicken quesadilla, fajitas... no one enjoyed their meals. Mine was only luke warm. And the prices are astronomical since covid. $21 for chicken quesadilla. Will not be going back. Our waitress seemed to be overcompensating for something. Way over the top!
The bathrooms were also not working. Toilets not flushing, slow to fill or urinals not working.

This place is going way downhill.

We recently visited Lone Star Texas Grill - Upper James for the first time, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish.
Our server, Arizona, provided by far the best service we’ve received at a restaurant in a really long time. She was incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive; always making sure we had everything we needed while still giving us space to enjoy our evening. Her friendly, upbeat attitude truly elevated the entire experience.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a fun, lively vibe that made it perfect for a date night. The fresh made fajitas were spectacular, sizzling, flavourful, and clearly made with care. Our drinks were just as impressive and complemented the meal perfectly.
This was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last. We’ll absolutely be coming back again. Highly recommend, and if you get Arizona as your server, you’re in for an amazing experience!

Thanks to Scooter for serving me tonight. She really saved the day. She was quick and so friendly. Food came fast as I had very low blood sugar when I came in. She put a rush on it for me. I hope Scooter serves me everytime I come to Lonestar in Ancaster. If there were 10 stars for service I would give her 11.

Prices are absolutely crazy now for fajitas and I’m not sure why as the portion sizes have actually gotten smaller than they used to be. This isn’t the Keg, or even close to it so I’m not sure why they’re trying to charge Keg like prices for a worse type of Kelsey’s.
