This location is hit or miss depending on who's working or managing. We've come a few times where our order has been wrong, pop is just soda water or wait times are long. There have been other times when everything was perfect, food hot and fresh, pop is flavourful and wait times are short. I wish there were more consistency with this location since it is one of the nicer ones in the general Hamilton/Ancaster area.

McDonald’s Ancaster on Golf Links has some of the best customer service in the Hamilton area. The staff always greet you politely, make eye contact, listen patiently when you’re unsure or deciding what to order. Their professionalism and communication make the whole experience feel welcoming and respectful.
This level of service has become rare in Canada, where many fast-food places have lost focus on the basics. Unlike other locations that rely on untrained staff and rushed service, this team shows that good customer service — politeness, patience, and genuine care — makes a huge difference. I just went thru the drive thru and they forgot my ketchup. Not a massive deal but I'm far and can't go back so I called and mentioned it. The girl who answer was rude and unconcerned with the lack of service. I'll never go there again. Funny bc a lot of the reviews match my unfortunate experience. Im done with MacDonalds.

Worst McDonald’s Experience Ever I honestly don’t know how this place is still running. The food was cold, soggy, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. Fries were limp, burger bun was stale, and the “meat” looked gray and unappetizing. The staff acted like they didn’t want to be there – rude, slow, and completely uninterested in helping. The restaurant itself was filthy: sticky tables, trash overflowing, and a weird smell in the air. To top it off, my order was wrong even after waiting 20 minutes for “fast food.”
If I could give zero stars, I would. Save your money and go literally anywhere else – even gas station food would’ve been better.

I have bought coffee several times before.But today it tasted the worst.Not sure if the person who worked today made something else.There was no sugar at all.I tried adding sugar myself but still it tasted the worst.Ended up discarding it to the trash.
