My coworkers and I came here a few days ago, and the service was wonderful. We were a very big group, but the staff members accommodated all of our orders efficiently. All the staff members were extremely nice and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. One thing that I would like to see is vegan options. They have a few salads, but it would be nice to see hearty, vegan meals added on the menu. Their fries are cooked in the same oils as meats, so unfortunately that was not an option. I was able to order a plain pizza with no cheese and add vegetables. The dough does not contain any dairy. The pizza sauce was really good.

Stepping into the restaurant is stepping back into time for sure, haha. But the food! OMGoodness, so good! My husband was craving a hot beef sandwich and boy, that did not disappoint! Best beef sandwich he's ever tasted. I had the soup of the day and the small poutine which were both equally wonderful! And Cole, our server, made the whole experience even better with his pleasant and cheery demeanor. So glad we stopped at Jim's restaurant.

We had an exceptional breakfast experience here this past weekend truly because of the service. Our waitress, Haley, introduced herself right away and immediately made us feel welcomed and taken care of. From the very beginning, her attention to detail stood out.

I mentioned that I have allergies due to breastfeeding, and both Haley and the kitchen staff went above and beyond to ensure my meal was safe and something I was genuinely happy with. She took the time to double-check, communicate clearly with the kitchen, not to mention one of the guys in the kitchen I think our server said his name was wade he actually came right to our table with the bread to go through every single ingredient to ensure I could have my toast with my meal ( I really wanted the toast ) which made a huge difference and gave me total peace of mind.

Even though our sever clearly had a full section, she made us feel like we were the only people there. Our drinks were always full, food came out perfectly, and everything was timed just right. The service was attentive, warm, and professional without ever feeling rushed or overbearing.

As a retired waitress, I truly appreciate and notice great service and this was exactly that. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and clearly prepared with care, but it was the service that made this experience stand out. Huge credit to our server and the kitchen staff. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this place.

Had breakfast here this morning at Jim’s December 10 and the food was the only good part. The service was honestly terrible. Our actual server (blonde/brown hair) spent more time standing around talking than doing her job. She barely checked on us at all—another server with dark hair like black had to step in because she clearly wasn’t interested. We didn’t even catch her name because she barely checked on us!

The whole place felt tense, and the energy from the girl was uncomfortable. It felt like we were an inconvenience just for showing up. Our server looked completely miserable and acted like she hated being there, which made the whole experience awkward and unwelcoming.

Good breakfast, but the service was so bad it ruined the visit. Tip: you should have servers who are friendly in the morning because it ruined my morning :(

My husband and I are not from arnprior, we were recommended Jim’s for breakfast by a local.

My husband and I came in here on Sunday for breakfast the atmosphere was family atmosphere right from the beginning very old school vibe. Waitresses still use pen and paper ! Was very refreshing

Our server Hayley or holly (I can’t quite remember) was phenomenal made the whole experience very delightful she was very bubbly and and had warmth about her she made sure from start to finish our coffees were topped up and FRESH their coffee is delicious and cheap !! Couldn’t have asked for better service. We were sat and had our coffees in front of us and order placed all within 5 minutes

My husband got the hungry man special home fries were fresh meat was cooked perfectly beans were excellent

I had the French toast with their real maple syrup so very yummy

Our server mentioned they have numerous homemade goods so of course we had to get some cheesecake and their famous rice pudding to go for our drive home.

Thank you to Jim’s Restaurant if we’re ever back in town we will most definitely be back !

The tradition continues; family owned, and pride of ownership shows. Thank you for supporting our annual ISHTBAC hockey tournament, and for the pizza. The pizza is awesome , and fully enjoyed by players and volunteers at event . I have personally enjoyed the food for years at Jim's Arnprior , I highly recommend this restaurant .

We stopped into Jim's in Arnprior for a quick lunch. From the minute we walked in the service was quick and friendly. Our food was perfect and the House Salad with their Greek dressing was spectacular. The chicken soup was very good. When the bill arrived I thought something was missing as a full service lunch for 2 was less than $30.00. I am looking forward to our next visit to Arnprior.

Great, friendly service and Jim's bacon cheeseburger platter was delicious. One of the best hot chocolates I've had in months.

We had a very disappointing and discriminatory experience at Jim’s Restaurant in Arnprior on October 20th at around 12:30–1:00 pm.
We were a group of seven people. My husband (who is white) explicitly asked before entering if dogs were allowed, and the staff confirmed yes, after we clarified that she is a service dog. We were welcomed and given a table.
However, as soon as our friends arrived — who have darker skin tones — and we began speaking in Spanish, the owner or manager suddenly approached us, demanding “papers” for the service dog and implying we could not stay.
When we calmly explained that, by Ontario law, service dogs do not require documentation, he insisted and added, “I bet you people are very nice,” which felt condescending and completely inappropriate in that context.
The timing and his comments made it clear that we were treated differently because of our appearance and the language we were speaking, not because of the dog. This was unacceptable and made us feel deeply unwelcome.
I hope management takes responsibility and provides proper anti-discrimination and accessibility training to their staff.
