Well, I must say that it was a BIG disappointment to have eaten at this cafe. DON'T waste your time.!!!The sign outside expresses homemade ,,my potato, bacon and cheese soup was a frozen soup base and add water,,you can tell the difference instantly. My friends fish came from a box..it was not made in house either.. As we paid our bill the owner's wife express that they did not accept credit, only debit..when we asked why ? she said it's a small town restaurant and we don't want to pay the fees...LOL The problem here is you need to serve better quality food and smile a little more..you would have more people want to eat at your Atwood Cafe, you are not there just for the local's in the town..your on a main route.. maybe it's time to change it up!!

Stopped in because the sign said "home cooked" meals. I ordered the fish & chips, which was anything but home made. Tasted like it came from a highliner box. The portion sizes are small and for the price it doesn't match up.
The water glass was so old and scratched ( see pic ) it made me uncomfortable to drink from it.
The brunette server was unhappy and didn't smile the whole time we were there. We weren't even greeted when we walked in when there was less than 9 customers. You may have the local business, but I definitely won't be coming back.
Poor portions sizes for the price, unfriendly staff, frozen food, and worn out glassware.

I would check your options before dining here.

Went to Atwood Cafe for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised! The waitress was wonderful and our food was all delicious. For reference we got a french toast, a toasted western, and a hot hamburger dinner. Definitely worth going to for a quick bite if you’re in town.

The food was mediocre at best. Way over priced, the coffee was terrible. Over $30.00 for two sandwiches, one side of fries and two coffees.

One of the last great small town diners. This place is right out of the movies. Great food, great prices, small town atmosphere.

Tiny and boring from the road. Inside, clean as a whistle, good coffee, great breakfast and service. Live entertainment (lots of grandparents, all complaining about being saddled with the grand kidlets, not!). Mixed crowd, very popular on Sat mornings apparently. And very inexpensive. Loved it, we'll be back.
