This was our first time visiting Fishbone our grandkids gave a us a gift certificate as a Christmas gift. Well where do I start? The service from Sarah was amazing, we received a glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary a very nice gesture. The food was delicious, presentation was terrific. The decor and ambience was lovely! We will definitely be back to enjoy this amazing restaurant. Great work to all the staff, including chefs and management. Thanks again Sarah! See you again soon!
Really really enjoyed our evening at Fishbone. Food was very flavourful and interesting. Cocktail called the sour ex girlfriend is outstanding. Service was fantastic. I had Branzino for my main and my husband had chicken. Fish is so hard to get right but when it's done right it is outstanding. The chicken was a very generous portion and was very tasty. Would go back.
I brought a friend (foodie) to lunch here. She had never been, despite being an Auroran, so I was happy to introduce her to this local gem. We shared 3 appies: the Brussels Sprouts, Flaming “pig” chorizo, and a perfectly done grilled calamari. My friend was surprised by the creative presentation of each dish (especially the pig) and agreed that each was delicious. The atmosphere is elegant, yet not stuffy. I love the vibe and our server was fun, friendly and allowed us the time to enjoy, never feeling watched or rushed. All in all, a wonderful experience and I know my friend is now a fan.
Lovely meal of shared plates (the octopus was delicious), cocktails and a glass of wine. We were greeted with a small glass of complimentary bubbly as it was our anniversary...very nice touch. We were in the smaller dining area near the bar which was perfect as it was much quieter than the larger area. Would highly recommend.
We had Dave as our waiter. Fun, very knowlegeable on every aspect of the restaurant from the food to the drinks. A delight to have him look after us! The food was excellent as it has been on each of our 4 to 5 visits to this facility, hence why we keep going back.
The Brussel Sprouts appetizer is a must do. - so are the shrimps. I have had chicken too many times to count in many restaurants, but their preparation of their roast chicken was outstanding. We will be there again soon.
Experience was top notch. The food was delicious, cocktails were mazing and our waiter sorry I forgot his name, but had a British accent was fantastic!
I could never sing its praises enough: definitely Michelin-level, star-worthy were it to be transplanted to downtown Toronto. The chef is highly creative, focused and professional, with a preternatural feeling for freshness plus combining interesting, unexpected flavors. Service is impeccably courteous and the genuine kindness of wait staff shines through every time.
It never ceases to amaze me that the kitchen can put out a perfect gourmet Italian risotto: luscious and exploding with flavors, or the best tempura veg you've ever tasted, or the tastiest freshly baked bread you've ever had from any renowned bakery, setting aside the absolute expertise of fish or seafood preparations. As if that weren't enough, desserts are usually magnificent too.
Thank god for places like this, artists like this, that take you away from the inevitable stressors of life, the worries of the world and the perilous futures we're facing, to take us beyond the mundane and give us a taste of the ideal. Dead serious about this!

This is our second visit at Fishbone and both the service and food were top notch on both visits. After disappointing visits at restaurants in Toronto, it is great to know this gem of a restaurant in Aurora. This felt like a great experience, from the moment we walked through the door. Although the restaurant was full, I could have a conversation without raising my voice. Not sure if there is the selection of sound absorbing materials or something else, but it works.

Great restaurant. The tv screens above the bar take away from the class of this restaurant. Come and enjoy
Phenomenal food and service, hands down best place to dine in Aurora

Eaten here many times. Always great quality food, with the meals executed to near perfection. Also great service. Little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Disappointed. We were there for the first sitting on a Sunday night in December. The place was empty when we got there and for whatever reason they put us in the far corner of an adjacent room. We were seated, literally in the corner with a wall on one side and a huge sheered covered window on the other. No view. It was very drafty. I said something about the draft and they bumped up the heat, but it didn’t make a difference. I don’t understand why we couldn’t have been seated in the main dining room, which was more beautifully decorated and likely much warmer.
My biggest complaint would be the value/food. Although it tasted decent, the portion sizes were very small. My husband ordered the special and it literally came with just the fish; no vegetables, no accompaniments nothing. My son ordered the set meal, his appetizer was a bowl of green peppers which were completely unremarkable and flavorless. His entrée was a few mussels and again no accompaniments, no vegetables no sides nothing. My daughter and I ordered the seafood tower which was more of a mezzanine, it really was a joke. Other than a few substantial pieces of shrimp and some tuna on the top layer, there was very little else on it. We were digging through pounds and pounds of ice to find tiny mussels on the perimeter of the platter and a few oysters. The skinny crab legs cumulatively provided less than a mouthful of meat each. It was an absolute joke for $129. Are you kidding me? And they could have provided a warm bowl of lemon water to rinse your hands off even Swiss chalet does that. No bread with the meal.
And for making such a big deal out of what the occasion was, they didn’t even bring the birthday girl a piece of cake!! Instead, they took the set meal person’s dessert and stuck a candle in it and wrote happy birthday on the plate, which we had to wait for, and the waiter laid it down at HER place setting, but it belonged to my son! I find that despicable!! Why make such a fuss out of the occasion if you’re not going to honour it with something. For over $300 we all left this restaurant hungry. We didn’t even drink! This restaurant is cutting corners and it is noticeable. Disappointed.
