The food at lunch was very mediocre. The hot and sour soup was neither hot (temperature) nor hot (spice). The chicken was overcooked and my chicken basil was only warm in some places and piping hot in others. It’s a lovely restaurant with respect to decor, but I was not at all impressed with the food, I won’t be going back.

Authentic Thai food ! They have been established in Aurora for over 25 years and their food has been the same high quality with great, friendly service. Our family has been going here since 2003. Highly recommended !

Vegetarian options: they have a lot of dishes that are vegetarian or could be made vegetarian. It is very fresh.

Parking: The parking lot is large with spots at the front and also with access at the rear.

Would absolutely come back. Especially recommend the "golden squid" if you like calamari at all. Was affordable, was delicious, and has great staff.

This is the best place ever. Where I come for comfort food and I pick me up on sad days. Food really good as take out but even better when sitting in for dining. Try everything- it’s all sooooo good! My favs are the spicy chicken and fried veggie spring rolls. They are also really accommodating to their customers needs.

This Thai restaurant probably fits more with local palette versus being authentic Thai. Service was attentive and atmosphere felt great. Came in looking for authentic Thai but was disappointed. Ketchup Pad Thai and heavy MSG wasn't very pleasant after the meal. Portions were just enough so feels like a high premium.

This cozy and comfortable Thai restaurant has been operating at this location for decades. The interior is decorated with items of Thai significance, and the lighting is generally dim and intimate. There is ample free parking, and it also has a drive up takeaway window at the side of the building. Some dishes on the menu can be prepared vegan, but you must request that your meal be prepared without seafood sauces. I always purchase the vegan spicy tofu dish. It is a consistently mild, flavourful combination of fresh veggies, strips of tofu, a hint of fresh citrus, and cashews. When you order from the lunch menu, it comes with white rice and two spring rolls. For diabetic vegan diners preferring more tofu veg and a lesser quantity of rice on the side, the ratio of rice to tofu veg is better when served in the restaurant than through takeaway, as the dine in meal seems to have more tofu veg due to plating. A second spring roll is substituted for the soup that is not vegetarian. The fixed lunch price is slightly higher than other Thai restaurants in the area offering broader vegan options, including a vegan soup on their lunch menu. One of the main drawbacks is I don't believe Orchid Thai has any soups on its menu that are vegetarian and its vegan appetizers are limited. However, the service is polite, efficient, and accommodating, especially at lunchtime, and the washroom always appears to be clean and stocked. Recommended.
