When a customer walks into a coffee shop, restaurant, or any business, the very first thing they expect is attention, a polite greeting, and a warm, respectful attitude — not being ignored.

Unfortunately, this has been a recurring issue at Starbucks Aurora (Yonge St.) Even when there is no line at all, I often end up waiting more than five minutes (sometimes longer), while four staff members are visibly working but no one approaches to take my order. Eventually, I find myself having to go up and ask who I should speak to, and the response is usually dismissive, as if my presence doesn’t matter.

At first, I thought maybe I was expecting too much, but over multiple visits, I’ve seen the same behavior not only toward me but toward other walk-in customers as well. It almost feels as though in this location, in-store guests are treated as far less important than drive-thru customers.

It’s disappointing to see how little attention is given to basic customer service standards here. A smile and a simple acknowledgment would make a world of difference.

Was under the impression that frappucino drinks always come with a dome lid even if the customer asks for no whipped topping.

I got a flad lid. That is the only thing preventing me from giving a full 5 stars, but otherwise everything is good. Service was fast and the interior was clean and welcoming.

Honestly not a single overpriced beverage in there that I like. Overly fansified drinks to justify the cost. Only reason I was there was to meet with some old friends. Will suggest a regular coffee and doughnuts place for our next get together.

Terrible customer service and weak coffee. I have visited many Starbucks locations, and this is one of the worst. The customer service here is often rude, disingenuous, unprofessional, and unfriendly. There is a serious attitude problem, especially among the female staff. The service is painfully slow, with minimal interaction between the staff and patrons. They act superior to their customers, constantly chatting and pretending to be busy while customers wait. The coffee drinks are often weak and poorly prepared. You're way better off going to Tim Hortons or a local café.
