Really amazing place and good food, loved the atmosphere although we didn’t had reservation wait time was not that long but when you customers are leaving and saying thank you to the people on counter at least reply, you don’t have to be racist in that… could literally sense the racism.

“Worldly food with a touch of Dutch.” Sweet Dutchess is a shop and restaurant located in the St. Andrews Shopping Centre in Aurora. It has been here for a few years, but I’ve only checked it out now. When you enter, you first go through their shop / market in which they sell a variety of cheeses, condiments, frozen goods, sweets, and more. A lot of these items are from the Netherlands and other European countries. These specialities can’t be found easily in other markets.
There is a second entrance inside that leads to the restaurant. Reservations are a must, because spots are always filled up! They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner on weekdays and brunch on the weekends.
I got two popular items from the brunch menu:
WARM CROISSANT SMOKED SALMON BENNIE $19
Freshly Baked Croissant Served With Our Wild Smoked Sockeye Salmon, Two Farm Fresh Poached Eggs, And Finished With Our Homemade Hollandaise
“HAIR OF THE DOG” $21
Grilled Debrecini Sausage, Two Eggs Anyway, 3 Bitterballen Served With Our Smoked Bacon
Both were good, and I liked Hair of the Dog more. If you want to eat the same thing at home, it’s totally possible as the dishes aren’t too complicated, and they sell the same meats (i.e. the sausages here can be found in their freezer section) and condiments in their shop outside; I got their olive oil chilli in the shop for $25.

I’ve been a regular at Sweet Dutchess for over a year, and Rob has truly created something special, from the warm welcome to the beautiful aesthetic of the market. I tried the kitchen for the first time and it absolutely delivered. Skylar was an excellent server and on top of everything. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for something fresh, inviting, and far from ordinary.

What a great gem, went for brunch (advise you make a reservation) the food was so tasty and not massive portions so you didn’t feel stuffed but very satisfied. Good diverse selection and you should check out the store after, so many treats!

Trying to find the entrance i found day old pasteries. Ie a few old cookies and some crosants. Not the offering you would expect from a bakery.
Everything looks hagard .

If you haven’t been to this place what are you waiting for?! The food, people and atmosphere are all on point and will not disappoint. Great fusion of Dutch and Italian so go hungry. They also have a wicked collection of faves from both cultures in their shop at the entrance. There isn’t a ton of space, though, so if you’re more than 4 people, call and make a reservation.
