I had the barbacoa tacos at the Old Imperial Market location. They were good. Not like when I'm in Mexico, but then again, I wasn't! Will visit again!

I went here back in September around 6 o’clock first time I’ve been here all year. I pulled in the parking lot to see that only the ice cream part is open meanwhile it is 6 o’clock which means the average supper time very disappointed that they were not open on the actual food part considering it was supper time. And I’ll leave an honest review it is mediocre and you can find a way better taco well worth your price at another place

Genuinely the most inauthentic food experience. The environment is nice and the staff are friendly, but the food is a catastrophe (apart from the ice cream.) The beef is clearly the lowest possible quality, had pieces of bone... Everything is rather flavorless. The food is undeniably comparable to Taco Bell, yet somehow much worse. I am sorry for my unkind words, this is just my genuine feelings of my experience.

Got a meal for 7 people here and only 2 out of the 7 people liked their food. The big mac salad was good and the smoked tacos were ok. My enchilada was cold, the cheese didnt even melt and the sauce tasted like plain marinara sauce. Beef tacos and nachos with cheese were also very plain and had no flavour. The torta was super small for the price. I must admit I had high expectations because of everything I read online, but they didnt even come close.

I popped in for a quick take out order today to meet my husband for his lunch.
I ordered a half sized taco salad, a soft fried beef taco, two barbacoa tacos, a half order of fries and two cans of pop. Our total was around $35.00.
The salad was not what I was anticipating. Firstly, it was $8.99 and came in one of those small square containers (I imaged the standard smaller rectangle for a half sized salad, as it was priced at $8.99). The salad was warm due to the large amount of queso they put on it. Picture an order of loaded cheese fries, but with a lettuce base instead of fries. It was just really heavy, but also not filling. I wish it was more like a traditional taco salad with a heavy lettuce base, vegetables, shredded cheese, a salsa/sour cream or ranch dressing (or whatever you like) and the crispy chips on top (in the larger container). I had actually just ordered the salad for myself, not realizing the size, so I was still hungry.. My own fault for not asking about the size piece of it though.
My husband said his tacos were top notch though! He isn't the biggest taco fan but he loved all three of his. I know some people love the standard crispy coated fries, so if you do, that's what they serve here. My husband detests them, so happy I went with the half order for him!
We'll for sure be back, but I would ask about customizing a salad in hopes they wouldn't mind, or just stick with a couple of tacos.

I love this place. It is worth the drive to Aylmer. There are so many Mexican food selections! I have not had them all but love everything I had. Affordable hot and fresh.
