Food has gone down hill, fries served basically raw with the only saving grace being the gravy! Fish pieces are very small and soggy. Coleslaw was warm and tasted off. Also you can’t call ahead and order even on a slow night, might be better that way maybe the fries would actually be cooked? Would not recommend.

We were in the area looking for a place for lunch and found this little fish and chips place. The fish was excellent! Fries were good but not fantastic. There is no indoor seating but they have picnic tables. I’d recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

The French fries are terrible, they changed them and they suck. They were also undercooked and cold.

Went here after the cranberry festival. It wasn’t busy as it was raining. The fish was good. But the fries were absolutely horrible. They looked like either they had t been cooked all the way through or they were left over from lunch and reheated. They were limp and so dry. Looked like a frozen fry that wasn’t cooked through even halfway. I mean seriously, they were the worse fries I’ve ever had -including frozen ones I’ve cooked from home. I really want to try it again because I’m sure this isn’t the usual. But too far away to go back. The coleslaw was fantastic.

Recently moved to Nobel, tried fish & chips in Parry Sound, had been to Mrs. H in Whata before, places in Parry Sound were no comparison by price and quality to Mrs. H, big serving of fish, light crispy batter, amazing fresh cut fries, no question it's worth the drive down from Parry Sound. Thanks Mrs. H, best fish & chips in Ontario, we'll be back Here we are back to Mrs. H 's again, as always most excellent fish & chips, great to know they are open 363 days a year, will be back again and again... Keep up the great work, thx Mrs. H

They said the wait time would be 30 min it was less than 15min. It was so worth it. Delicious!

Traveling to our cottage, looking for someplace to eat, our family stumbled across this fish and chips place. The service was rude, but sometimes it happens. We placed our order and we were told a half hour wait! Again, we continue and the fish and chips itself was mediocre for an expensive price too. Just go anywhere else for better fish and a better experience overall.

If you’re anywhere near here, don’t miss Mrs. H’s Fish & Chips! We tried the halibut and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly flaky inside with a light, crisp, and flavorful batter. You can tell everything is made fresh to order, which means a little bit of a wait, but it’s so worth it.

The portions are generous too – the fries come in a big heap, and we added gravy on the side which was rich and full of flavor. The coleslaw that comes with the meal was fresh, crisp, and nicely seasoned. They pack everything thoughtfully to go, including tartar sauce, malt vinegar, napkins, and all the extras in a neat white bag.

The spot itself is charming and casual – order at the window, then grab a seat at the picnic tables if you’d like. Everything is to-go, but it’s a great place to sit outside and enjoy.

We went a little out of our way to try this place after seeing all the great reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Friendly, efficient, and serving some of the best fish & chips we’ve had. And they’re even open all winter long, every day except Christmas!
Highly recommend – worth the detour!
