We got mini cakes to go, they were certainly not up to the mark. Cakes layers were dry, pistachio cake did not have actual pistachios and tasted nothing like it (just a lot of artificial green colouring), and the mini cheesecakes were smelling of eggs and milk powder. The carrot cake tasted of medicine and the Ferrero cake was just ok. Based on other reviews and the fancy ambience of the place, we were looking forward to try out some of their desserts, but we are left with a bad experience.

I had a great experience at Carmilto Caffè! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is excellent, and the coffee and pastries are delicious. It’s a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy café in the area.

I've been taking lots of walks lately , and treat myself a couple of times a week ! I just love how friendly and welcoming the staff are. There's been two occasions where they have made adjustments to my drink order which I highly appreciate. The ambiance , food , GELATO OMG!! All to die for. Keep up your standards. You have a huge fan over here :)

Had 2 types of cheesecake from here, and HANDS DOWN , the best I've had in my life! I was reluctant to freezing the leftovers, and when defrosted after a couple of weeks, they DID NOT disappoint. They are so light and fluffy as well as decadent. We will be going back 💯
Carmelito Cafe is such a gem! The staff was incredibly kind and attentive—they even helped me replace my milk with lactose-free milk to accommodate my needs, which made me feel so well taken care of.
The food was delicious! The chicken crepe was tasty, and all the desserts were amazing. My absolute favorite was the banana Nutella ice cream—it’s just so tasty, and I absolutely love it!
The whole cafe is super cute and perfect for taking photos. It’s a great spot for girls to hang out, snap some photos, or simply enjoy quality time with friends. The cozy, adorable vibe makes it an awesome place to visit.
If I could make a suggestion, it would be to add a few more items to the brunch and breakfast menu. Options like scrambled eggs or a fruit platter comes with dessert together would be such a great addition and would make the menu even more versatile.
Unfortunately, I was so caught up in enjoying myself that I forgot to take photos—but trust me, it’s worth seeing for yourself. Highly recommend checking it out!

They ask for +20% tip on their touch pad tho... Coffee wasn't anything special. Latte was pretty bitter :(. Sandwhich was crushed and burned in the panini press too

Been visiting Barrhaven for over a year and this was the first time we’d gone inside at the recommendation of a friend who’s been here a number of times. It’s got a unique vibe that’s fun. It wasn’t busy at all the day we came so perfect for us. We got panini croissant sandwiches and espresso drinks and everything was quite good. They seem to only be able to make one sandwich at a time and one drink at a time so they’re not built for speed or a lot of people at once - but there’s lots of seating to enjoy while you wait and then while you enjoy your food. There’s lots of really really good looking pastries and baked goods and plenty of gelato flavors to try. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu and enjoy hanging out. Definitely recommend!
