I have gone to both of Carmelito Café's locations several times and have always been very happy with the food, service and atmosphere of the café. I enjoy their vegetarian-friendly sandwiches and lattés however, their deserts just can't be beat! I have gone to both Carmelito Café locations dozens of times over the last couple years. The food is always of great quality and the cafe is a welcoming atmosphere. I have recommended Carmelito Café to many family members and friends, all of which have loved their food and deserts! My personal favourites are the Nutella cheesecake and carrot caramel cheesecake. I have even begun the tradition of getting myself a slice of carrot caramel cheesecake for my birthday every year.I highly recommend you stop by and give them a try!
The deserts here are of a grocery store quality. But as all the better options are located too far from Barrhaven, I'm rating this cafe three-stars for the fact of its existence.

Beautiful place for friends and even families, their decoration is so adorable and they have so many options for Halal desserts, I tried their hot chocolate and I like how it is in medium heat (not too hot) which is what I like. The staff were so friendly and I’ll definitely visit u next time!!

Beautiful hidden gem! I just discovered this Café tucked away in a Barrhaven residential neighborhood. Lovely decor, relaxing atmosphere, and amazing selection of sweet treats to choose from. The staff was super helpful and very friendly. I will be making this place a regular stop for my coffee and sweet treat indulgences.

One section is raised a couple of steps

Service was disappointing, starting with an 18% suggested tip. It took 7 minutes to receive a poorly made cup of tea — overly diluted and not the type I ordered. Additionally, a pre-made sandwich was inadequately heated and served after a 15-minute wait. The overall experience felt far from customer-oriented."
