The food is remarkably good, especially for a small town on the way to nowhere in particular.Worth a stop when enjoying the scenic lakes and trails.Vegetarian options: The veggie burger is thankfully not trying to pretend to be meat. It's an excellent beet-based patty, with a really yummy chutney. I definitely recommend.Parking: Not a lot of parking, but around a dozen+ free parking spaces immediately in front of the building. Tight to the road, but sufficient.

I don't even know where to start so here we go, pop in the can was frozen, hot chocolate was cold and was just colored water, we got one set of utensils for 5 people, the food portion were small, the service was OK, but I think she was having a bad day and there was only 6 other people there. And as always it was cold in the restaurant and watched one of the staff get a small heater for one of the other tables. The last thing, but most importantly, my friend fell down the stairs as we were leaving. Their response was, ya we know it's slippery. This is not the first time my wife slipped on the same steps last year. There is more, but I figured we have learned our lesson, and I just keep forgetting you're not the only place in town .

We had a wonderful time at the Balmoral! The food was fantastic and the staff was so accommodating and kind. We had the duck poutine, honey garlic chicken wings, wild game burger, and bison ribeye. The poutine was one of the best we have EVER had. The steak was cooked perfectly and had the most wonderful mushroom sauce. Even the salads were fantastic! We absolutely recommend coming here.

We drove for 4 hours to pick up a u-haul And stopped by this place on the way home. We got the pulled pork poutine. And it was absolutely delicious. Service was great. We didn't have to wait long for the food .Would definitely recommend!
