If you want to get the serotonin benefits of taking a vacation without getting on a plane, come for lunch or dinner here! Theme = on point; food = excellent; service = superb; drinks = IN TOWERS. Had a perfect lunch and will be coming back.

I ordered the Heart Attack Burger with fries. The quality of the beef and pork belly was excellent, and the fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy—well done. They had three different kinds of barbeque sauce on the table which I appreciated. My only complaint was the number of flies in the restaurant, which I kept shooing away throughout my meal.

A local restaurant located on the lakeside, with friendly explanations and a smile. The tacos had a nice crunchy texture and the sauce was just right, not too much, which was nice. I'd love to drive back and visit again.

Our new favourite restaurant. Staff is phenomenal. We were able to sit on the patio and have our dog with us. The food was delicious and homemade. Prices are great.
5 stars for sure

Great food. My wife and I shared the daily special (burnt ends, fries, bake beans, corn bread and coleslaw) and we both left there with our bellies full. Awesome food with great value. Highly recommend.

It was my friend and I’s first time coming here and the staff was incredible and the food was great (also dog friendly patio!). The owner was so generous and gave my friend and I complimentary tickets to Back at the Farm. Such a nice Sunday surprise, we will definitely be back!! 😊

Had a great chat with the owner. Great service and amazing burnt ends meal. Baked beans were to die for.

EDIT SINCE OWNER REPLIED:
Thank you for your response. My concern was never about price, but about the menu changes. It seems the unique smoked and BBQ dishes that set you apart were removed in favour of simpler items like burgers, wraps, and sandwiches. I’m happy to pay more for exceptional meals, but the menu now feels like many others.

My 2-star review was saved by the excellent service, two attentive servers made us feel well cared for. Without them, the rating would have been lower.

I’d also suggest taking lower-star feedback as an opportunity to grow, rather than responding defensively.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
It took me a week to post this, I have been back and forth about it but honestly it needs to have a review. I really wanted to give a higher review as we have been there last summer a few times and we absolutely loved it! The last time we went we had an amazing platter that made us want to come back for more this time.

It was a late lunch for us due to some last minute work, so we were starving and as I said, so looking forward to eat there as it had been a year. We were sad to see the menu changed and none of the items of food we wanted were available....to late to leave, we had already ordered a beer and again starving, so we decided to give it a try. The staff was quick and we had 2 servers which were both nice and great! (Hence the 2 starts). We started with rhe special of the day appetizer, a buffalo chicken dip with nachos both flour and corn.....it was something else to say the least. The chicken has no smoke taste, and the cheese which should be combined into the dip was on the very top, cold and never blended in with the dip so we had this clunky dip to eat....the flour nachos were alright and the corn tasted old and not even homemade, which is something they advertise.

We then went for a plate to share of 2 tacos with a side. We ordered 2 pork belly tacos with the fries....now this is were it went even more downhill for us. I am latina and while not Mexican, I really enjoy a good taco. This was an ordinary taco in Canada, a massive taco that you can barely hold with your hand that is covered in sauces....the pork belly....it was chewy, not falling apart at all which should be expected in a bbq place (last year was perfect btw) and the sauces....guys, you had a good starting base, the pico, but you ruined it by adding a weird tomato sauce and topping that up with a bunch of sour cream which i have never ever had on a pork taco, we had to remove more than half of the sauces because if you don't, tou end up esting more salsa and sour cream and not enjoy the actual meat. Tacos are all about the meat and in this case they really missed the point.

We didn't take pictures...I always do for our food every single time. I like food a lot! And for me to not even take a single picture, it really means it was not worth it.

Not sure if the change of menu and food quality is due to change of chef, ownership or both. But I would suggest start getting some of the best things you removed from your old menu back. Maybe because the location is not as busy as they thought, bbq and smoking is a big job that requires hours and staff, they have decided to cut corners and it unfortunately shows in the food, it seems to be a common practice in the area: New restaurant, they are killing it at the start but at some point they change menu and then it never is the same. At the moment we don’t plan to come back, but I will look forward to a menu change and hope for the best for the staff and owner.

Cute, cozy and delicious BBQ. Our waiter was attentive and helpful recommending the special. A smokey half chicken. We left with a full stomach and some of their house BBQ sauces.

We have driven past this place many times and always said we should stop in. Today was the day. We were greeted right away by the gentleman who ended up as our server. He was quick to tell us the specials and provided quite a bit of detail. He also suggested the beer that I purchased. It was good. However I noticed something in the head of the beer and he immediately took it back and the owner brought me a replacement and did not charge me for the drink at all. I had the smoked half chicken special. I brought half of that home with me. The fries are amazing. The baked beans had what looked like pulled pork mixed in and the coleslaw was tasty and just the right amount of creamy. The corn bread with sweet butter was really good. My spouse had the Jethro burger with bacon added. She said it was very good as well. It is a cool little place with friendly staff who provide excellent service. We are going to suggest this to our friends as a worthwhile place to stop.

On our way back to Toronto from Montreal, we found this little gem. We were so happy we found this place. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff were so friendly. I'm sure we'll be returning on our next road trip in out that way.
