The ice cream hut was incredibly cute and had Kawartha Dairy ice cream for the prices listed in the attached photo. Note that the portion sizes were quite large, so even the baby size was fine for an adult. There were outdoor chairs and patio tables you could use.
The main store was cute, but the prices were unbelievable - e.g. $6.50 for a takeout buttered bagel. Antique section upstairs was haphazard, but the paintings of local spots were lovely

This store has my grandfather’s hockey jersey from when he was young, which is a great treasure to our family. We tried to purchase it today (we have tried to purchase it before but were similarly denied), in order to get it back to our family and to take better care of it however the owner was extremely rude and would not allow for this. They insisted that they would like it as part of their store, however this is an important heirloom for our family and should be returned to us. They also are not taking care of the jersey - it is on a plastic hanger in a back corner with a sticky note, while also getting colour damage from sunlight. We would love to have this returned to our family. Our contact information was left with the owner, and we encourage them to reach out and allow us to purchase this jersey in order to have it rightfully returned to us.

My grandfathers hockey jersey from when he lived here is in this store. We explained to the owner that we would like to bring it back to our family (my dad and my grandfathers son). The jersey is currently in back room, hanging on a plastic hanger in a window with a sticky note to identify who it belongs to. The owner refused to sell it back to our family and was so disrespectful when we tried to explain the importance of this jersey and that we tried 17 years ago as well to get it back home. Saddened that they will not let us have this piece of our family history. They told us it is a part of their store, but it is not being preserved and we would eventually like to have it back, in a decent condition. To the owner of this store, please consider allowing us to have this jersey, we will gladly pay for it as mentioned. I understand that it is a piece of history to you, but for us it is so much more. You have our contact number if you change your mind, please reach out if you decide to allow us have this jersey. We have provided proof of who we are, but have no issue with giving more information / proof if needed.

We went to Bayville to get out for a bit and planned to go to Miss Nelle’s based on reviews and photos. I don’t know what’s happened, but it wasn’t worth the trip, it’s dark and super pricey, I know it’s a tourist area but $4 for a medium coffee was insane. We left without getting ice cream - a small was $7.25 and another $2.50 if you want a waffle cone. We ended up getting ice cream from the food truck at the gas station for 1/2 the price and bigger sizes.

The little shop is very cute. The butter tart was ok. Probably from a box from a grocery store. But the lemon tart was probably the worst one I've ever had unfortunately. The lemon was rubbery, almost like a marshmallow. The coffee was fine. And it's very expensive. Tourist pricing.
