“Best roast beef sandwich ever! They make the roast beef in-house and it is seasoned and cooked to perfection, super tender, and perfectly medium rare! Now their butter tarts are out of this world. I've lived in Canada for 20 years and these are literally the most delicious things I've ever had in my life. I tried their pecan butter tart and their coconut raspberry. Can't wait to go back and try the rest!”

“Never been to Belwood or the restaurant before, we were on a day trip from Toronto. Pretty village nice atmosphere great countryside. Was surprised to see the negative reviews. We didn’t know about the new owners so I’m writing this without any prior knowledge.We ordered the club sandwich and grilled cheese with fries. Astounded about how good the food was. Truly delicious. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Dunno what the fuss is all about as would def recommend.”

And the staff recommendation for an iced matcha latte was the perfect accompaniment. Cool & beautiful interior; there is even an old vault with cosy seating. All in the great setting of beautiful downtown Fergus. The perfect stop on a summer road trip.”

“We had a fantastic dinner in a unique setting. The service was great, we were welcomed quickly and well looked after.
The cocktails were delicious, we tried one of their seasonal specials as well as the regular menu. Dinner portions were not large, but sufficient, we split an appetizer and a dessert as well as the mains.
The sauce with the vegetable gyoza appetizer was so good, we joked about wanting to lick the plate. My husband had the Wagyu Teppanyaki, and I had the Chicken Cashew Curry. Both were yummy, I would order either of those again.
The only downside was the Japanese cheesecake dessert, which was disappointing, but I suspect we just don't like Japanese cheesecake, the fruit compote with it was lovely.”

The Perked Pierogi has the most delicious pierogies - as good as (dare I say better?!) my mother's which is saying something! “Honestly, i tried pizza hut after a long time. It was delicious and service was good. I would rate 4.5 to service and food would be 4.7. The owners were there when we went, wonderful people. Had a chit chat session with them. Basically this place is take out only so not seating was available, otherwise good place to eat some good pizzas”
