The baked goods are made fresh and are so delicious. From butter tarts (many choices) Chelsea buns were the two we had and they were fantastic!! You gotta stop in and load up. What a great find.

Love this place. I can't believe it's taken so long to write a review of it. What was I thinking?Location: On 'main Street' near the library one stret from the river and picnic tables.Parking:There's parking on the streets and it's metered until 4:00. I think it's a dollar an hour. There's lots of free parking one street over next to the river. It's a good place to park cuz you could grab something here and go and eat it at the picnic tables along the River Bank boardwalkThe building:You woke up a couple of wooden stairs and open the door and you're in a small waiting area. There's a heater with rotisserie chicken in it and a rack with the bread that they've made for the day that you can select. There's a freezer next to an order desk you can grab what you need from the freezer. And the treats and everything else you order at the counter and they make it fresh, with sandwiches, or put your dinners together. The goods: Everyday there's a daily soup and lunch special and a dinner special. Well except for Saturday there's no dinner on Saturday they close early then. You can look on Facebook and they post their weeks menu on Sundays but they also post daily. If you're walking by they have a chalkboard with the specialsThere's a fridge full of treats and salads. Treats like butter tarts, lemon meringue tarts, carrot cake, brownies, etc. And salads like macaroni salad potato salad pasta salad. My favorite is a pasta salad with broccoli and bacon. It is deliciousPersonally I like taco Tuesdays. Lunch is a taco special. A lot of times Wednesday dinner special is cabbage rolls and they are my absolute favorite. Fridays dinner is a really good dinner. It usually contains a combination of half chicken and ribs, sometimes both if you're lucky. And occasionally they'll have a special turkey with all the fixings dinner. That's a really good dealThere's also a freezer with all the foods and soups that they make inside. So she makes stuff for the day but we'll make extra to put in the freezer that you can buy and take home with you.Oh my God I forgot the fresh bread. They make fresh bread every morning. There's also buns and hot dog buns, you can ask for something specific and if they can accommodate you they'll make it ooh they also have rotisserie chicken everyday. And you can call and order ahead because they post the weekly menu so you can reserve any dinner for lunch. They have a set number of dinners they make. It's pretty good I like coming here.

All food is made in store and consistently great. We love the wrap + chicken noodle soup day the most. They only have the same foods on the menu, it just rotates. The cinnamon bun is worth trying, for sure. I always message through Facebook or give a quick call to make an order. They appreciate that. Their service is great. Sometimes they pack it all in front of you and sometimes it's already all ready. I think they like to make sure the soup is still hot in the container.
