First impression was odd. Classic diner vibe was nice but the sandwich board sign said to wait outside to be seated and to use my patience. Ok .... did as told. Wasn't super hot outside. Next I notice a classic old automobile parked up on the curb. The front plate said "F_CK Trudeau". Didn't know you could get a vanity plate in Ontario with a vulgarity on it. I shook my head in disgust. While I believe in freedom of speech I also don't think the "F" word should be used on signage in a public place. For such a classy car it was a very unclassy thing to have on the front of your vehicle. I'm a grown up and have been known to drop an "F-bomb" but I do it in private and certainly not in front of children.
I did not think at the time the vehicle was connected to the business. I should have known. When we were finally noticed and invited inside the cheerful waitress came over with our drinks while we checked out the menu. The inside vibe was like the outside. Very 60s diner with comfortable seating. Looked like home cooked meals as I saw other food being delivered to tables around us. My orange juice came in an ice cold frosty mug. As my husband and I looked around right above our heads I noticed a very unusual sign. "Trump 2024" A very authentic looking Trump election sign. I have to say at first I was taken aback wondering why on earth a USA election sign was hanging in a local business. Then I remembered the car outside and realized the owner must support the views of Donald Trump and in turn has a hate-on for our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Again, I believe in freedom of speech and an owner can do or say what he/she wants in his/her own establishment. That of course allows me the same freedoms. We made the choice to stand up, head to the cash to pay our bill (cash only) without ordering and leave. I did vocally state the reason I was leaving was because of the sign and that I would appreciate the owner knowing my displeasure. If he was in the business at the time, he/she did not speak up. The waitress said she was not the owner and didn't seem to care one way or another. Unless the owner has American citizenship and can vote in the US elections I do not know why he would post this sign. If he does have American citizenship, not sure why he would bring such a divisive election sign to his place of business. Times must be good for her/him if he is willing to lose clientele. I will not be back.

The sign outside says to not enter and they’ll be with you shortly. Waited 20 minutes, no one came. Popped in to ask how much longer (inside was empty), was told shortly again. After waiting another 10 minutes I left. Awful experience.

Only accepts cash. Have waited outside over 5 minutes three separate times. Nobody ever came to get us. They make you wait outside to be let in. There was 5 open tables. I walked in and they were very rude. The place down the street is the only place I’ll go too for now on

Googled places for breakfast in the area. We went here because of the good ratings. We were greeted by a very friendly server . All the food was amazing and very tasty. The local Backyard 40 hot sauce was recommended and was so good. Bacon was thick and tasty. Homemade strawberry jam , delicious. We have found our new breakfast spot. This place is welcoming, friendly and very bright inside. Good old fashioned diner. We will definitely be back. Thank you
