Stopped in for a drink and some apps....love the look of the outside patio with the murals on the walls. There was some live music so that was nice.....everyone there seemed to have a happy and chill vibe. Food was tasty. đŸ€—đŸ™Œ

It was Sunday of the long weekend and we love trips to Bobcaygeon and we love Mexican, so we thought we would give this a try. It was very busy and there was a cool vibe to the patio. I asked for a certain table and immediately was given a bit of a look by what seemed to be the manager on duty. I was told to wait until the table was cleared
we waited it was cleared and we waited a whole lot longer. Finally we were seated. We ordered nachos and when they arrived, try were cold. To make matters worse, it had processed nachos cheese spread on it
 we ordered drinks
once they arrived and our order was taken, we didn’t see our server again for over half an hour. The bartender gave us the food and when my wife received her 2nd Caesar ordered through him she swore there was no alcohol in it. The server showed up after the cold nachos were delivered and the rest of the order was missing. We felt that the rest of the order was placed after we received the nachos. It’s August, so it’s also bee season
there were wasps dive bombing us the entire time, and upon closer evaluation it was the open liquor bottles behind us that they were interested in. This was not a cheap bill .. We were very hopeful about our new find, but we will not be back.

We stopped by El Patio in Bobcaygeon today and it was, without question, the worst food we’ve ever had at a restaurant — and that’s saying a lot. The prices were insanely inflated for what amounted to low-quality, jarred, canned, or frozen ingredients passed off as “Mexican.” At best, this food might pass if you were completely drunk at the end of a night of drinking, but as an actual meal it was shocking.

The nachos ($40!) were inedible: greasy chips covered in spray cheese, thawed frozen corn, jarred salsa, and covered in a cold sauce. Chicken was also cold and no real cheese. Nothing was fresh — the guacamole and sour cream were tiny paper cups of prepackaged, processed product, and somehow still charged as a $5 “extra.” The only thing remotely fresh on the plate was a sprinkle of cilantro.

The tacos were an embarrassment. Watery shredded chicken drenched in that same bottled-style sauce, tasting nothing like authentic Mexican food. The chicken was cold and flavorless, and the overall dish looked sloppy and thrown together.

The kids’ meal was just as bad. For $15, our children received a burnt pogo and greasy fries. Paying restaurant prices for carnival-quality food is insulting.

Drinks were no better. A $15 margarita came from a premade bottled mix, was painfully sour, and gave instant heartburn from the first sip.

The only redeeming part of this restaurant is the patio itself — but even that was hard to enjoy with wasps swarming everywhere and no effort by staff to manage it.

Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Overpriced, low-quality, almost inedible food with zero freshness or authenticity. It’s honestly shocking this place is still running. Do yourself a favor and avoid El Patio.

Stopped at El Patio for lunch and had the best salad and fries! The California salad was amazing. So much chicken. Huge portion. Hubby and I split. Still full. Fantastic flavour. The caygeon fries were the best. Ben our server was attentive and informative. Definitely going back again.

Love this spot! El Patio has such a fun vibe, great food, and the staff are always super friendly. It’s the perfect place to grab drinks and relax with friends in Bobcaygeon. Definitely one of my go-to places when I’m in town.

Nachos were awful. They were made with spray cheese. Salsa and sour cream were not complementary you had to pay extra just to get a tiny side. 0/10, do not recommend. Very disappointing for a Mexican place.

We were on Bobcaygeon for our yearly trip to my wife's aunt's cottage and my sister in law brought us to this place. At first I had no idea what to expect but the menu and service were fantastic.

My father in law was with us and we had to move some chairs around and the staff helped us out with all of that. Ben, our server, was absolutely wonderful and took great care of us. The patio was great and we were able to hide under some umbrellas because it was so hot but that made the lunch even better.

The food was wonderful. The service was great. My burger was out standing and then I ate half of my sister in law's burrito bowl because it was so good. This place really deserves 4.5 stars. We will be back for sure.

Underwhelming food, burger was undercooked and was like mush biting into it. Jalapeño poppers were great, burrito bowl was good. Quesadillas were probably the worst I’ve ever seen, tortillas with the smallest amount of cheese sprinkled in and barely cooked, no chicken found inside. Overall wouldn’t look forward to coming back but maybe will try again in a while.
