The food was excellent and especially the fries I got with my chicken burger were top notch Cajun fries. The service was great as well. We were in Bobcaygen to launch on to sturgeon lake and we didn't know where to go so we asked our server and they gave us a great recommendation

This place is overrun by over served patrons. Constant fights. Many of which are provoked by the owner’s young adult son. Some female friends and I were using the washroom as male patrons were banging on the door and trying to push through the locked door. I had to call my husband from the bathroom to come and assist us. When we brought it to the owner’s attention, her belligerent son asked us to leave. The gentleman that we were complaining about was brought into the kitchen. Presumably a friend of the owner or the owner’s son. The word on the street is that this is a regular occurrence. Fights every weekend and over served patrons. We won’t be back

The atmosphere is fantastic and food was good. My only complaint is that the price of alcoholic drinks was very high.

This place may look like a parking lot, but it’s done up like a Mexican cantina. Here’s how you can tell.
1. Table Umbrellas - Corona, Sol - Cerveza
2. Decorations - Skull related
3. Food Menu - Tacos & Burritos

Now that’s where the likeness stops. Key Missing details from this Mexican stop.

Food.
1. Jalapeño, or a hot pepper of any kind
2. Hot sauces - Franks - that was it
3. Red Onions
4. Pico de gallo - was told I get some with burrito. Nope

I ordered a pork burrito and it came with a hefty portion of pork. It was stacked. Once I found out that they didn’t have hot sauces, requested hot peppers to be added to burrito. “We might have a jalapeño” … I received a slice. I wish I brought my hot sauce holster (I kid).

I think this place has merit, food wise. I’d take the burrito to go next time. Spouse had Aztec salad and the portion was plentiful (+$5 gauc). Service was decent (we were one of three tables).

Mexican wise, needs work.

Everything was delicious! We got some margs, wine, tacos, a burrito bowl and buffalo wings. The buffalo wings were soooo good. Same with the Thai tacos. We’ll be back!

Lots of room for improvement, called and made a reservation and gave away our table regardless of being early. We’re out of sangria’s so recommended a pitcher for substitute, as a bachelorette party of 8, we got 3 pitchers had tasted like straight bar lime, and bar lemon and this came to $210.00 That’s right and after we received our pitchers no one come back to the table for 20 mins with no water even brought to the table as side from that was the first thing we had requested! Do not recommend

A trio of us made it up to Bobcaygeon. A couple of days ago I was craving tacos for lunch and luckily for me there's a taco truck on El Patio. I was actually craving fish tacos but they haven't had fish tacos in a while and so I settled on the vegan tacos. Best vegan tacos I have ever eaten.

After the meal the owner came to our table and asked how things were and socialized with us for a few minutes and promoted Bobcaygeon and told us the history of her restaurant.. I think it's great that she is hands on with the business. She cares about her business and it shows. And so I tell her that I think her vegan tacos are absolutely fantastic. Best Food Ever*.

But then I said that I actually came because I wanted fish tacos. And she replied she could offer me an off menu shrimp taco. Normally it's $6/taco at happy hour but she said that she'll give it to me for $5 and a google review repeating my flattering remarks. I said deal.

The shrimp taco was fantastic and almost unbelievably bountiful. I think I was being bribed by shrimp because I couldn't even wrap the taco closed. It was teeming with shrimp. One of my friends remarked that he counted fifteen from just the one end of it. It tasted great, and if bountiful has a taste then it was in that shrimp taco.

But I still think the vegan tacos win first place for me.

5 out of 5 for the shrimp taco,
7 out of 5 for the vegan taco.
And I'm going back for sure.

I have had the pleasure of going to El Patio every time on my yearly visit to Bobcaygeon. I have found the staff and the owner always friendly and attentive. Being vegetarian, there are always plenty of options for me to choose from. The patio is chill and likely the best on the town's main street.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch earlier this week. We placed an order for nachos, and spent the better part of an hour waiting. The presentation was nice, but unfortunately the food was cold throughout when we received it. The cheese had resolidified, leaving a congealed and soggy mess that was difficult to eat. The chips seemed to be store bought, but the pickled onions were a nice touch
Surprisingly, when we let our server know, she argued and stated she had "just seen them taken out of the toaster oven".
Additionally, the up charge for sour cream and guacamole, brought our bill to $40 (after tip) for a plate of nachos alone. Wildly over priced for the quality of the food and service provided.
The owner also seems to lash out at negative reviewers instead of fixing what appear to be common complaints. Take his advice and “stay home and learn to cook” rather than waste your time and money here ?

We give this place a try every summer. Every time the service is awful. We had to go and ask for our own menus, we had to ask for a server, once we ordered our food, I asked for the chalk for my toddler, she said sure, we never got it so I had to go ask as it takes soooooooo long for an order to come. Food is OK, atmosphere is alright. There are weeds growing into the seating area closest to the road. Bugs are everywhere and tables are peeling of paint. A lot of standing around and disorganization.

We love this place. The atmosphere is great, with good music, but not too loud, friendly staff who really look after you, tasty margaritas, and the plump, crispy BBQ wings (40 Creek sauce) are so tasty we ordered them twice.

The nachos we got on another visit are pretty good, cheesy, and tasty.

Too bad about the lack of beef or fish options for the tacos - there is a vegan taco though :)
