What a great little brew pub in beautiful Bobcaygeon. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I really like the Scotty beer. They even provide ice cold beverage from my pup. (Water)

We were really looking forward to visiting Old Dog Brewing. As dog lovers and big fans of checking out new breweries when we travel, this spot was high on our list. We especially enjoy filling our 1-gallon TrailKeg at breweries we love and adding their sticker to it as a fun memory of the places we've been.
Old Dog’s beers were honestly great — we particularly loved their sour and thought it would be perfect to take home and share with friends. Unfortunately, when I asked the bartender if they could fill our TrailKeg, I was told, very bluntly, that since it wasn’t a growler purchased from them, they wouldn’t fill it.
This was really disappointing — our TrailKeg isn’t from another brewery, but rather from a company that makes portable growlers. We’ve had it filled at many other breweries with no issue at all. Old Dog is the first place that has refused.
Needless to say, we left without any beer. We were even planning to buy sweaters for friends, but the experience soured our enthusiasm. It’s a real shame, because the beer is worth sharing — but the customer service didn’t match the quality of the product.

This place is so wholesome in its aesthetic and the staff and people are friendly too! Combining the two things people love the most - alcohol and furry friends - is total genius.
The cider is a great choice and tap only (no cans) so it was nice to enjoy it at the Brewery. They have a variety of packaged beer along with some special recipes they recently tried. It is definitely worth the visit & time to spend!
