The texture of the rice was off tasted old, the chow mein noodles were steal and some were hard. The chicken balls are so tiny you can tell they come pre ordered frozen then deep fried. Plum sauce was old tasted really off. The spring rolls were good. That's about all I enjoyed out of my dinner. I went to open my fortune cookie which I really look forward to and it was STALE with nothing inside. I called to let them know what I thought of the food the owner said thanks for letting me know and tried to blame her supplier. Then hung up no apology no offer for the future, which is fine I won't be ordering here again. We had about the same experience last year and thought to give it another chance, nothing has changed.Don't waste your money if your looking for good fresh Chinese food drive the extra few kms to another Chinese restaurant because I can think of 3 others I'd rather eat at.To the owner. Do better, you know your food was not fresh. It tasted like it was made 3 days ago.

Love the food here, it's always hot and fresh. I usually call it in and let them know the time I need it and it is always ready waiting for me. Great owners, very friendly and really enjoy talking to their customers.

Ordered over $100. worth of take out food for five people. The Chicken Balls were gross….meat inside was dried out and all separated… tasted like old product perhaps in the freezer way too long. The Pad Thai was awful! It was a glob of noodles in a horrible red colour with nothing else on it but tiny pieces of chicken… no vegetables, no effort. My husband usually enjoys an order of Shrimp Fried Rice, but he said he couldn’t even finish half of it. Again the rice tasted old and there was nothing else in it…. No vegetables what so ever chopped for colour and flavour. This is the second time we have wasted our money at this restaurant. I won’t be back. If they can’t get these simple dishes right… what is wrong. The place looks really messy, staff appeared unprofessionally dressed in old joggers and a hoodie. We like to support local restaurants but this is not okay! Make the drive to Cody Inn, Buckhorn.
New owners took over business and immediately jacked up the prices. Ordered stir fry mixed vegetables and it was 50% celery. Tried Sun Ming in Fenelon Falls and pleasantly surprised with the larger portions and no celery.
Have tried this place twice and both times was disappointed with the food. No balance or harmony in the flavours...too much " red sweet sauce" and lack of fresh vegetables. The Pad Thai was terrible, no tamarind in this sauce!
Sooo good...actually happily surprised...General Tao chicken, Szechan beef, Shanghai Chow Mein...highly recommend all 3...generous portions too....we like spicy and it was just he right amount of heat
Really enjoyed our dinner. Food was not greasy and everything was fresh. Portions were very good had lots for take home. Lemon chicken was nice and light. Very happy, would recommend!
Mmmm! Nothing small town about Wok On The Lake. Best Chinese food for miles around and great owners and staff to boot!

Food was excellent, you will never believe that a small town Chinese restaurant is even better than the Toronto ones.
We have been their several times and food is great.
the food was awesome! We ordered the dinner for 6 and everything was delicious and hot, nothing was oily not salty. We will be back to try the crispy ginger chicken and the lemon chicken....
