I’ve been a loyal customer at Shawarma Box Bolton for at least three years, but my visit this Wednesday was extremely disappointing.
I arrived around 8 PM and placed my usual order. The lady at the counter, whom I hadn’t encountered before, was very rude. She got my order wrong, and when remaking it, served a much smaller portion than usual. When I asked her to add more, she rudely refused.
I’ve always appreciated their food for its taste and generous portions, but this experience has changed my mind. I paid out of courtesy but won’t be returning. Truly disappointing.

We were super excited to try this place as many told us it’s the best in Bolton. A little disappointed with the service. I asked if there fries were gluten free, as some fries have flour coating, she had no idea what I was saying, I asked her if the fries were fresh cut and still she didn’t have an answer…. it was frustrating. How does someone’s staff in the restaurant business not understand food allergies. A gentleman sitting in the restaurant stepped in to try to explain to ask her, and still she didn’t understand what gluten free meant. We ended up going with the rice. My husband is gluten intolerant, and I don’t think it was that difficult of a question.
