This was my first time going to Bowmanville family restaurant with my family. Very nice staff, small mom and pop shop. Good people. I could tell it was a long standing favourite of the town. I was excited to try the eggs Benedict, as is was around brunch hour. My husband ordere the three egg breakfast, and my toddler has the kids breakfast. Seemed good for them. My egg benny had a strange taste. It didn’t seem fresh unfortunately. Peameal tasted off and so did the hollandaise. I was disappointed, so after two bites I left it. I was still charged for full plate of food after not eating it. Wish I could have tried something else in exchange for price. Anyway, nice staff though. Busy place.

If you want absolutely delicious meals, at super reasonable prices then check out Bowmanville Family Restaurant. We're going to eat our way through the menu after recently rediscovering this gem in the heart of Bowmanville. We're not fancy eaters and everything we've tried is cooked so perfectly and spiced just right. Their fries, fabulous. Tried the quesadilla with chicken today, so delicious and the BEST real chicken fingers. A family restaurant, quiet, great service and homey atmosphere. Also excellent breakfasts. Service is terrific!Go try it for yourself, 40 years in business, well done! Love this place. The coconut cream pie is seriously amazing.
Awful! I ordered a COLD French Onion soup with my meal and they brought it with my main course, despite me requesting it as an appetizer. Upon complaining the owner argued with me and offered to “heat it up”. Meanwhile the table has been cleaned at this point.The other items we ordered were all well below expectation.Stubborn, ignorant and short-sighted owners. Will NEVER return and I will tell all my friends how bad this restaurant is.
