My husband and I were looking for a good place to get poutine. We decided to try Hanc's because of the reviews. They have very friendly staffs and the portion is great. However, the poutine tasted a bit bitter... ? I'm not sure if it's the gravy or the fries were overcooked.

This has NOTHING to do with the food and service is always great.I understand the winter and closing early but update your google hours, or stay open your set hours. Also, it’s annoying to call within that 7pm timeframe and nobody answers the phone cause they closed early.It would be nice if they had updates on their Facebook page like talk of the town. That way I can rearrange my dinner plans when I’ve had a plan all day to get hancs for dinner.
Always wanted to try since moving to bowmanville ordered 2 banquet burgers medium fries with gravy over $36.00 worst burgar I've ever had no flavour soggy bun 1 thin pc of tomato almost disintegrating 1/2 pc of lettace back bacon ( hate it) should have said it wasn't real bacon asked for salted fries no salt gravy was obviously canned not good will never go again sorry

Just know they add onions (a lot and large chunks) with your pulled pork if you add it to your poutine. When you ask them if they have that noted anywhere, they will say "no", when you tell them it would be appreciated if you had known beforehand, they will say "okay". Never heard of onions in pulled pork poutine before, I hate onions. Took forever to get them out.

Fries have a weird after taste like old/burnt oil, i have never had fries that taste like this and i tried it a second time so its a normal thing, might be for other people but definitely not me. Staff are extremely kind!
