Ordered 2 cabbage rolls and 3 pieorgies. Food was lukewarm and tasted like reheated leftover from the previous day. Potatoe and Cheese pieorgies were filled nicely but the dough was too thick and a little tough from either sitting too long or rewarmed from the previous day. Paid extra for a small container of sour cream that should be included. The cabbage rolls were not very tasty and lukewarm. Mostly rice filled and no seasonings. Very bland and the cabbage was tough. ...
I've lived in Durham for over 30 years but did not know about Norm's for all that time. It is famous for their pierogies. Although they are superior they are not quite the same with the change in owners. We love the potato salad and find the cabbage rolls are actually better. I appreciate the fact that they have longer hours and that they accept debit. All in all it is the place to get your pierogi.
Its been along time since coming here. I got the 5a special. Shishkabob was hot , moist and delicious. Perogies were large full and warm. Also tasted really good. Cabbage roll was average , barely warm but tasted good.
Service was unorganized but friendly. Needs to be better.
