Sunrise is our go-to place for breakfast and lunch and has been for years. The owner Zaku is awesome and takes pride in the food that’s served. The servers Tammy and G are amazing, friendly and efficient. For sure the best breakfast in Bowmanville. And lunch too is amazing. Excellent soups. And the roti is so good too.

We were sat right away by a friendly man. Restaurant was cheerful and had lots of booths. Wasn't too busy when we arrived but got busier during our time there.
I had a 2 egg/bacon/hashbrown&toast breakfast and it was really good. Hubby had 2 pancakes with scrambled eggs and toast. He said the pancakes tasted like some curry got into them and they were cold. He didn't like them at all. Our server was attentive and friendly.
It's too bad that this was our first experience here, likely our last based on this.

We have been customers since the day they opened. 17 years later, we come here weekly.
First, if I do not like the coffee, I would never return to a restaurant. Their coffee is delicious.
The Staff Tammy and Georgette are always plaisant and they have great people skills.
My husband walks in and they know what he will have, he always ordered his favorite breakfast.
He does not want to change or try anything else.
He has the Yummy Crepe which he adores.
Always the same, the Garden Crêoe.
I tried to replicate at home but he says ‘not quite the same’.
The price is reasonable and we have a lot of choices. I tried different plates and never disappointed.

Please keep the good work and thank you to the owner and the fabulous chef and our favorites girls.

This was a complete surprise! Searched the best breakfast place near our hotel and this gem came highly recommended! I concur- as our plates were stacked high, the prices were fair and the service was exemplary! I will be going here again when I’m back in the area!

I was able to visit for the very first time yesterday for a late breakfast. The small town diner feel was great. The menu was surprisingly large, and they seem to have a wide variety of options. The pricing seems very fair and reasonable.

I ordered the meat lovers' eggs Benedict. The food was absolutely amazing. The portion size was generous, and both the meat and eggs were perfect. I wish I had remembered the server name. She was super friendly and efficient. You can see that she cares about the customers and made sure to greet everyone when they arrive.

The service was great, and you can tell she has been doing it a long time. She is super efficient and made sure everyone was taken care of throughout the restaurant. If I am in the area again, I would 100% return to try something else.

Had the all day breakfast which says 3 eggs, homemade fries, toast and a meat. Pretty much any breakfast place has this standard meal and comes with all the same options. I did find the so called 3 eggs here is a smaller portion then any of the other place's around town and seems more like 2. The home fries are deep fried which I find unfortunate as on the griddle is so much better but I am sure some people might like them fried instead. The bacon is also deep fried as well. I had the rye toast which was good but must have been the end of a loaf maybe as peices were really small. Overall not a bad breakfast and decent pricing but I wouldn't rate it the best breakfast in town by any means. Service was great though.

First time there today. Food was exceptional I had a western sandwich and my husband had a chicken roti. Service was also exceptional !! Definitely will go back when we are in town.
The owner asked how everything was, you don't see that happen :) Highly recommend .
