It is 2026 and STILL people find anything and everything to complain about. Shame it is a shame!! Ordered take out and the food was fantastic. Wife and I really enjoyed the burgers. Wait time was long BUT it is the only Swiss Chalet in the area - commmon people. Highly suggest this restaurant. And the front desk woman Emelia was amazing! 10/10

This place has gone so far down hill the last few years.
My family and I show up at 5:15pm, we were told it is a 25 minute wait. It is near Christmas so it is understandable that the wait could take longer than mentioned.
We end up waiting an hour and half in front foyer of the building, absolutely ridiculous.
Then we are seated. The table organizer seats us with no cutlery under a cold vent. To top it off the temperature in the building had to be negative the whole time we were waiting, eating, and leaving. The door was open almost the whole meal because they weren’t seating enough people.
The other person at my table couldn’t even eat her food as there was no available cutlery for quite some time. We had to ask 2 separate people for a knife and fork so she could begin eating.
We waited at least another 30 minutes for our food, it finally comes out and all of our food was cold. I ordered the chicken on a Kaiser white meat with fries, and the chicken was cold after the first bite. Next, I had to genuinely contemplate if my fries were even warm. How on earth can you survive as a business when you are barely seating anyone and are serving cold food.
It is literally chicken and fries how hard could it possibly be to mess up the most basic meal.
The server was nothing but apologetic for something that wasn’t even her fault, idk if the Bowmanville Swiss chalet recently got bought out by other people but the food was garbage and the wait was atrocious.
Won’t be back, waste of time and money. Don’t reccomend.

Ordered my food for pickup. Was supposed to be ready for 6:50, it wasn't. No big deal, especially if it is going to be fresh. Waited 20 extra minutes to get my food. Got home to find it was cold. It must have been sitting there the entire time I was. Food was still okay otherwise. Getting cold soup when your sick sucks.

We ordered our, so I can’t comment on the atmosphere, however, this is what I can comment on: - two of the five meals we ordered were not delivered - the loaded mashed potatoes were not loaded and came with gravy. To make it worse, they tasted old - the cheesy bread was not cooked. The butter and cheese were both unmelted - the French fries were barely cooked and soggy -the white chicken breast was so dry that even gravy dint do it justice, and the dark meat was so dry that it needed a lot of gravy to choke down

Went to this restaurant last night and it was just a terrible experience. The servers seemed run off their feet. The hostess had to take drink orders because the server was too busy and then we had to waited for some time for the server to come over. We ordered the loaded pirogies to start and they were fairly cold when they got to the table. None of the cheese was melted there was so much sour cream and barely any bacon. They came out with our food. We had to waited for cutlery as they had run out and had to clean more, so our food got cool waiting on that. My son skipped desert because everything including getting simple refills was taking forever. The manager who was working kept rolling his eyes whenever someone brought up an issue which seemed to be frequently. Won’t be back for a while, hopefully they can figure out how to get it together.
I haven’t eaten here for a year and wanted to try again, what a disappointment , delivery was fine, food was cold, tasteless not juicy, I ordered chicken and ribs for my senior dad and I , we almost couldn’t find the chicken the leg was so small I thought it was a quail leg. I will not be eating here or ordering ever again . What a waste of $54.22

Total chaos every time under staffed. They tell you that you can't sit somewhere then right after you they put someone in that spot right after. The service is slow and the hostess in track pants doesn't set a good tone or cleanest vibe
