I’ve been to the Toasted Walnut when it was in its previous location. I always was happy with the food and general atmosphere. I was a bit shocked at the new location. The bright fluorescent lights seemed very institutional and out of keeping with a bistro style restaurant. The tables also seemed quite close together. (that was much less bothersome to me than the lighting though!) I may be in the minority but I really hate fluorescent lighting, so much so that I will not return unless I notice the lighting has been changed or I can sit on patio in the summer. The service and food were very good so if you are not picky about lighting, this is a nice place.

I found this little cafe on a whim this morning! At a time when my body, mind and spirit was in need of some comfort and rest! I was merely looking for a hot coffee to help with my drive back home, but I found so much more than that! I was greeted with warmth as soon as I entered and, a little sign boasting homemade soup. was exactly what I needed in that moment! I opted for the chicken noodle and another option of mango curry.... Both served with the most delicious scones (blueberry and herb and cheese) Thank You I will definitely be back here ❤️. Also purchased a chicken pot pie I look forward to trying very soon too! It's a, one stop shop, filled with toasty warmth and comfort!

Mocha tastes more coffee than chocolate and I like it a lot. The squash soup tastes a bit spicy but the flavour blend it out so it balances out. 👍🏻

I “used to” to go here often with friends but I will not be returning again. One of the waitresses was so rude to my friend and I. We were out celebrating and this one woman basically kicked us out. She wasn’t even our waitress. We were enjoying our time together chatting and the waitress came to the table three times trying to get us to leave. The last time I even said “I guess you’re kicking us out” to which she smirked and shrugged her shoulders. I worked in the restaurant business for many years and am very aware of the flow in that environment. There were several empty tables available and no one waiting at the door. She definitely ruined our time out. You have lost a customer and be sure, I will be talking about this to all my friends.

A local fav eatery however my friend and I simply wanted a coffee and scone We decided that buying 6 was better buy and asked to take out the one scone we were eating. It seemed to be a big deal.. so we had our snack. Atmosphere seemed cool and when we left our tip for our waitress we emphasized who that was and when we left it simply was thrown into the tip cup at the till not sure if it goes where we wanted. And that was with attitude Finally there's alot of places to eat so I hope improvements are made and better attitudes in staff
