I “used to” to go here often with friends but I will not be returning again. One of the waitresses was so rude to my friend and I. We were out celebrating and this one woman basically kicked us out. She wasn’t even our waitress. We were enjoying our time together chatting and the waitress came to the table three times trying to get us to leave. The last time I even said “I guess you’re kicking us out” to which she smirked and shrugged her shoulders. I worked in the restaurant business for many years and am very aware of the flow in that environment. There were several empty tables available and no one waiting at the door. She definitely ruined our time out. You have lost a customer and be sure, I will be talking about this to all my friends.
Delicious food and lovely spot on the main street!

A local fav eatery however my friend and I simply wanted a coffee and scone
We decided that buying 6 was better buy and asked to take out the one scone we were eating. It seemed to be a big deal.. so we had our snack. Atmosphere seemed cool and when we left our tip for our waitress we emphasized who that was and when we left it simply was thrown into the tip cup at the till not sure if it goes where we wanted. And that was with attitude
Finally there's alot of places to eat so I hope improvements are made and better attitudes in staff

This was a pleasant surprise that we found while visiting Bowmanville. We were looking for a place to have lunch and stopped in at The Toasted Walnut.
The menu is full of fantastic options and good prices. We had the Afternoon Tea for two and it was excellent.
The staff are lovely and the restaurant is cute. We are already planning our next visit!

Always a great experience! It was a busy lunch, yet the server was very accommodating and took her time to make us feel at home. Lunch was incredible, and the baked goods are the perfect treat to eat in or take home.

Girlfriend and I went. Got the Iced Chai Latte, “Hot” Mocha, lemon square, cheese croissant and breakfast BLT on a bagel.
Chai Latte tasted like egg nog, mocha was colder than room tempature, and had way more hot chocolate in it than needed. Drinks were by far the worst part.
Pastries were fresh and tasty.
Breakfast sandwich was amazing but was not big by any means.
If you’re going for a sit down breakfast it’s worth it I’d say with other menu options they have. However if you’re just looking for a coffee/drink and a snack, you can skip.

Went there with my kids for coffee and pastries. Service was excellent, as were the cupcakes. I appreciate they had a gluten free items (delicious) and they were kept separately in a different display case and also individually wrapped.

Nice place to have lunch and explore downtown Bowmanville. Solid options for the majority. I’ve had the maple wrap and stacked panini and both were good. Side salads were delicious and fresh as well.

I recently passed by inviting storefront that immediately set a positive tone. Inside, the clean and modern design, along with the friendly atmosphere, made for a pleasant dining experience.I tried the wraps and soup, both of which were fresh and flavorful. The wraps were packed with vibrant, crunchy vegetables, while the soup was rich and earthy, comforting, and perfectly seasoned. The high quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The staff were friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations and enhancing the overall experience. It's clear that the establishment takes great care in selecting their ingredients, ensuring a delightful dining experience. If you're seeking a place with healthy and tasty vegetarian options, this spot is definitely worth a visit when you're in the area.
